ISABEL'S POV

Right from the moment Austin told me where he was working, I knew what he wanted. And now, I was standing in one of my most expensive boots, right in front of the Bonjovi Mansion.

There was a smirk plastered on my face. I leaned in, pressing the doorbell, and took a step back as I heard footsteps approaching.

“Miss Quinn?” Rick, the old butler who was more than familiar with me, asked. I could barely hold back my smile.

“Yes, it's me. You may call me Isabel now.”

He was mor

  • Pregnant And Abandoned, I Returned As A Hidden Heiress   CHAPTER 116

ANNA'S POV My hands were shaking as I riffled through the bag again, searching my documents one by one, document by document. No, no, no. This couldn't be happening. I tried thinking back immediately. Did I drop it on the plane somehow? Did I somehow forget to pack it? I knew that I hadn't forgotten. That was the only reason why I was even protecting the bag like it was my egg in the first place. I was sure that I brought the book with me. I was about to break down and start crying, when I suddenly remembered. I saw Ryan with the bag this morning. Did he somehow take the book from the bag without me knowing? After all, he was awake much earlier than I woke up. I headed downstairs with my hands balled into fists. I wasn't going to take it easy with him if he thought he could just reach into my bag and take anything that he wanted. As soon as I got to the bottom of the stairs, I saw the book in his hand. The way I ran over to him and snatched it with everything in me was out of

  • Pregnant And Abandoned, I Returned As A Hidden Heiress   CHAPTER 115

ANNA'S POV The sunlight gleaming into the room was more than enough to wake me up. I could barely stop myself from smiling. I had the best time of my life with Ryan. It had been years since I even dared to do anything with any other man. It was almost like I was fully dedicated to James. And now I was glad to know that nothing of that sort was happening. I was literally free. I stretched, reaching out for the other side, feeling for Ryan. He wasn't there, and I frowned. I quickly got out of bed, heading into the bedroom. I brushed my teeth, having a quick bath. I wore a pair of shorts and a t-shirt, tying my hair in a ponytail as I headed downstairs. Just as I headed downstairs, there was something that I saw, that made me stop right there on the steps. It was Ryan, shuffling through my bag. I frowned immediately. It was one of the bags that I had dumped on the table when I first arrived. Just a handbag where I stuffed all the important documents. I frowned, cocking my he

I could barely hold back my smile. “Yes, it's me. You may call me Isabel now.” He was more than shocked. I could tell. Considering the way I stormed out of the house the moment Austin and I broke up, I didn't even think that I was going to return at any point in time. He took my bag from my hands, and I grinned. He didn't forget anything that I had taught him. “Is Austin in?” I asked, and he nodded. By the time I got into the house, Austin was sitting on the couch, sipping on bourbon. The familiar scent hit me, and it suddenly felt like home. But something had changed. I could

MELISSA'S POV “What are you doing here?” My mom asked, and I didn't know what else I expected her to ask me. “I came to see you,” I said in the smallest voice that I could muster. “I was missing you.” I could see her eyes dampen. But as I blinked, it was no longer there. I expected her to lean in for a hug, but she didn't. I could only imagine that I had lost all types of favors from my mom. She simply pushed the door wider, granting me entrance. At least we were starting from somewhere. By the time I walked in, I couldn't help but gasp at the amount of insane changes that had happened. “You've practically renovated the house,” I said in awe, and she cocked an eyebrow. “Maybe if you visited more often, you would know. You didn't even come for your uncle's burial.” “It wasn't that important,” I said, shrugging before I could bite my tongue. That was the wrong thing to say. “It was Uncle Tim. Your favorite. The one that you couldn't go a week without talking to.” I felt

BELLA'S POV I hated the smirk on my mom's face as she turned to look at me. “This is something you can do honey,” she said in a sweet tone, and I quickly shook my head. The last thing I wanted to do was be a cleaner. In a hospital. That was literally the closest to catching all those germs and illnesses. I didn't want to go home smelling like drugs and chemicals. That was the same thing that we always laughed at Anna about. I couldn't live that life. I would never forgive myself if I did that. “You're kidding, right?” I asked my mom, and she looked at me like I was mad. “Did you see a fucking smile on my lips?” She asked, raising her voice slightly. She was losing her patience. Maybe if I pushed more and she snapped just a little more, she would chase me out of the house. That was the last thing I wanted. I wasn't a lucky girl who had rich friends around her. My own friends were as broke as fuck. The type that couldn't even bring one flower and at least one of the cheapest choc

  • Pregnant And Abandoned, I Returned As A Hidden Heiress   CHAPTER 111

BELLA'S POV “I knew you'd get better at some point!” My best friend, Beatrice squealed. I could barely hold back the disgust on my face. She didn't come to visit me one day when I was smelling. Or when I looked like I was going to die. In fact, nobody from my so-called friend group visited. And she still thought we were best friends somehow? In her dreams. “Yeah, thanks,” I muttered, trying to ignore the growling in my stomach. My mom hadn't been home for the past two days. And I had opened and closed the freezer countless times, hoping that food was going to somehow magically appear. There was nothing. And I was done drinking water from the tap. “You didn't bring anything?” I asked Beatrice. “No snacks?” She looked down at her empty hands. “I didn't think you would need any of that,” she stuttered, and I swallowed hard, closing my eyes as I tried to keep my emotions in check. Who went to visit recovering patients without gifts? “Well,” I said, standing up as I rubbed my
