SORAYA’S POV

Khai clasped both of his hands in front of him, eyes focused on his opponent before turning to the members of his pack. He circled the pit as he spoke.

“I, Khai King, built this pack from the ashes. Not a single one of you was born into this new Nightbane Pack. You were abandoned, beaten, exiled. I gathered each and every one of you from all corners of the kingdom. Rogues, they called you. Outcasts. Ruffians. Trash. You were shunned by those you once called kin. Stripped of your names. Hunted like dogs. But me?” He paused to chuckle, a sound that breezed through the dead-quiet arena.

“I saw something different. I saw hurt wolves—wounded, yes—but not broken. I saw fire in your eyes, the kind that refuses to die. I saw the hunger for something more. For dignity. For vengeance. For a place to belong. I did not promise you comfort, but I gave you one more chance to forge your better path. I did not offer you peace, I offered purpose. A reason to fight for another day. A

  • Pregnant And Claimed By The Wrong Alpha   CHAPTER 38: DANCE OF PLEASURE

SORAYA’S POV His gaze could be felt a thousand miles away.Even without looking at him, I knew his attention was solely on me. Why? There were other girls dancing along with me. Why would he be paying all of his attention to me? And why on earth was he even here in the first place? Wasn’t he mad at me?“Estella, I think it is time the main lead learns the Alpha’s dance,” Khai said after an eternity of staring. And did he just say main lead? Me?Oh God, why was I the only one going through this torture? On hearing his words, our dance tutor nodded in absolute agreement, like an obedient slave.“Yes, Your Majesty. You are right. Soraya, step forward. The rest of you can take a break.”I screamed internally. The other girls sat closer to the wall on the floor, their eyes focused on Estella and me. My breath caught when a pair of large hands took hold of my waist from behind. The hairs on my neck stood as his scent filled my senses.Estella turned on the music box and a sweet melody fi

  • Pregnant And Claimed By The Wrong Alpha   CHAPTER 37: CHOSEN DANCER

SORAYA’S POV I could not get much sleep once Nyra left. Not like there was any point, considering she left shortly after the day began to break. I sat on my bed, thinking. What do I do?It had been my plan initially to leave, but I never thought it would be so soon. I’m not even sure what my escape plan is. I was only able to leave to get a checkup the other night because of Gael. And he only offered to do that because he knew I was coming back. This time, I won’t. I can’t ask him for help—but at this point, what other choice do I have? This place was swarming with guards on all four walls. There’s no way I can get in or out without anyone noticing. And let’s say I do manage to miraculously escape—what then? Where will I go? I still haven’t been able to find anything valuable that could take care of my child and me until I’m back on my feet.Bloody hell.Think, Soraya! Think!A soft knock comes from my door, making my head snap toward it. The movement was so fast I’m surprised my

  • Pregnant And Claimed By The Wrong Alpha   CHAPTER 30: NYRA’S ULTIMATUM

SORAYA’S POV “I am happy to announce to you that your baby is just fine.”A smile lifted my lips at those words. I looked at the doctor with gratitude as my eyes stung. A part of me had feared that I may have suffered one complication or the other. I certainly have not been treated like a pregnant woman ever since the day I found out about it.But hearing this... was absolutely liberating.True to Ellie’s words, there was a clinic just a couple of streets away from the palace. It was small but surprisingly well-equipped and welcoming.I asked Gael to wait outside for me—and surprisingly, he did. He didn’t ask any questions or insist on coming in with me. He wasn’t even scared of the possibility that I could escape. Or maybe his mind hasn’t gone that far.Or maybe he just trusted me.Whatever it was, I was thankful.“Thank you, doctor...” I trailed off, trying to read the name on her tag.“Ivana,” she replied, a sweet smile on her lips. “Please ensure that you get a regular checkup

  • Pregnant And Claimed By The Wrong Alpha   CHAPTER 35: AN ANGEL

SORAYA’S POV I waited until the silent hour before making my move. It was exactly two in the morning—every servant and resident would be fast asleep. The guards would be battling to stay awake, I hoped. The palace was dark and silent by this time. It was the perfect moment to make a little getaway. But first, I needed to get out of this room without the big guy next door noticing.Unlike the previous night, he was very much around now. But he hadn’t come into my room—I doubt he would, not after the way I spoke to him today. The doctor’s words replayed in my mind. They had been all day.I forced myself to believe she’d been mistaken. There was no way Khai was worried about me. He just brought me into the infirmary to fulfill all righteousness because he’s the Alpha. Same way he had killed those men because it was a disrespect to his name.I’m sure if I had been lying in the hallway or something, he would have pretended not to see me. But being in his chambers made that far more diff

  • Pregnant And Claimed By The Wrong Alpha   CHAPTER 34: HIS CONCERN

SORAYA’S POV “I want a full scan report right now!” “Alpha, you need to calm down. The results may take a couple of hours, but—” “Bullshit! You told me that stupid matcha poison had no effect on her. Now I walk in to see she just passed out?” “Alpha Khai, I urge you to calm down. I am doing everything I can to retrieve the answers you seek. I will conduct the scan immediately.” Scan... Full body scan. My eyelids flew open instantly. I shot up from the bed with a gasp, my eyes wide and frantic as I took a look around. Just as I expected, I was back at the palace infirmary, surrounded by all kinds of machines. The pack doctor and Khai both looked at me, shock flickering in their gaze. Khai scowled before walking toward me. He placed a gentle hand on mine on the bed. The simple touch sent a wave of electricity shooting up my arm. The little hairs on my skin stood at attention. And then, our eyes locked. For the first time since I’d known Khai, I saw it—the waver in

  • Pregnant And Claimed By The Wrong Alpha   CHAPTER 33: THE GOLDEN MIRROR

SORAYA’S POV This room was by far bigger than my last one. It was one suited for a queen. The bed was large enough to fit five people comfortably. The sheets were silk. The drapes were a fine wine color, adding to the eloquence of the room. There was a golden dresser by the edge of the room. A full-body mirror, a walk-in closet, a couch, and a fireplace. I just could not understand it. Why would Khai do this for me? I just cannot understand why he would treat me like a sex doll one moment, then like a princess he needs to pamper the next. Was this part of the terms and conditions of our little agreement? His room was right next to mine. There was a door connecting our two rooms—meaning he could walk in on me at any time. Right now, as I lay in my dark room, I could not help but stare at the door, waiting for him to come in. But he never does. I try to will myself to sleep, but every time I shut my eyes, his face comes to mind. The last time I saw Khai was in that p
