“Get off my wife.”

I heard the door bursting apart before his angry voice, but of course, I tried to block it all away as I reached backwards and pulled Adrian’s head forward. “Focus on only me, okay? I’m the one that wants to orgasm. He can wait his turn like the good boy I’ll assume he is.”

Adrian, as any other Beta would be, was uncomfortable by the sudden entrance.

He, like the others, was not used to Killian acknowledging our little trysts. “Is he… is he okay?”

“Mhm,” I hummed softly. I couldn’t help the big smile on my face as I stared at the one man who had spent three years ignoring me but was now looking so feral and angry, and chuckled. “It’s sort of cute, don’t you think—”

Killian moved.

It was fast, too fast— but luckily for me, I had an Alpha elder brother who found it funny to chase me down a lot when we were kids so I was able to step in front of him, shielding Adrian. “Stop it.”

Killian’s eyes don’t leave Adrian. If anything, they grow with more contempt at the innocent man before they landed down on me. “Where is your decency, Rosalind?”

I shrugged. “I don’t have to be decent in my wing, because remember, it is my wing, where we both agreed you should not be.”

“But one of your lovers after…” his voice trailed. Killian Veyr, who was always so cold and emotionless, seemed to be at a loss of words about the fascinating affair that occurred the week before.

I moved my hand in the air to speed things along. “After… we fucked?”

Disgust crossed his features as he moved away. “You don’t need to be so crass.” His eyes flew to Adrian who was still standing behind me. “And you. Get out.”

I crossed my arms. “No, Adrian. Stay.”

His gold eyes flashed to me. I recognized it. It was the same ‘why can’t you just shrivel up and die or something?’ Look he always gave me when I was younger till the day of our wedding.

A shiver of satisfaction ran down my spine at that look. I'd missed it, honestly. The pure, undiluted fury that made his jaw tighten and his nostrils flare. It was the most alive I'd seen him in years.

“Adrian,” I said, not breaking eye contact with my husband, “be a dear and get me a glass of water from the kitchen. Take your time if need be. My throat's a little dry from all that... screaming.”

Adrian’s voice came softly behind me. “Do you… need me to stay? Or call for help?”

A Beta couldn’t fight an Alpha, and I, an albeit sexy omega would also be useless. But at least, I was a sexy omega with an older brother that a certain someone respected far too much. “Yes. If you hear me scream, call my brother. You have him on speed dial as I told you, yes?”

Killian’s eyes shifted. From fury to the same emotion he’d barely hidden his entire life. Desire mixed with longing— and now fear, that my brother would come and see me if all people were in a state of pain.

Because of him.

Adrian gave me a kiss on the cheek, his eyes fixed on Killian's as he pulled back. “I'll be right outside the door,” he murmured, loud enough for the Alpha to hear. “With the phone in my hand.”

Then he was gone.

I walked towards Killian, watching his disgust turn to discomfort as he raised his arm over his nose, shielding himself from me. “You are naked. And… clean yourself.”

“Yes. It’s my wing,” I said deadpan. “And no, I won’t.”

My husband couldn’t stand my scent.

I was made to understand that I wasn’t special in that regard. He couldn’t stand Omegas at all, which was fascinating because he was supposed to find me, a Rare Omega, exceptionally attractive as a Dominant Alpha.

But our attention to marriage had been a whole game of ‘this should work’ that clearly didn’t work.

Killian stood in the doorway, chest heaving, his expensive suit jacket still so perfect even with his clear discomfort. “Please.”

I moved— why, I didn’t know— but I picked up the hundred and one lingeries spread across the room and put it on, my eyes resting on him. “You should have come with your neutralizing spray bottles. Do you want mine?”

He looked slightly confused. “You have one?”

“Yes.” I sprayed one consistently whenever we had to attend an event together for his sake, but naturally, he didn’t notice it. “Want it?”

“No.”

Of course. It already had my Omega scent all over it. I sat on my chaise lounge and did a pose that would entice anyone in the world but the man in front of me. “What may I do for you, dear Husband?”

Killian's jaw worked, a muscle twitching beneath the sharp line of his cheekbone.

He took a step into the room, then stopped, as if the very air was toxic. His hands, usually so still and controlled, curled into fists at his sides. “Did you… did we—?”

“Yes.” I cut in.

His scent filled the room tinted with disbelief. “Are you sure—?”

“You have a tattoo of a crescent moon on your left hip. Three small stars beneath it.” I sighed and sat up. “To be honest, this was far more boring than I thought it’d be so my patience to handle it has vanished. You can get out and bring Adrian back in. I was almost about to climax.”

“Can you—” The same familiar irritation flared but when I raised an eyebrow, it settled and he looked away, his jaw clenching so hard I was sure he cracked his teeth. “Tell me what happened. All I can remember is the gala, then we returned. And nothing.”

I shouldn’t be angry.

Killian Veyr meant nothing to me and I to him, he made that very clear.

But he remembered nothing while I was stuck with the memory of the best sex I’d ever had in my entire life? “You’re such an asshole.”

“Rosalind, please—”

“You’re the one who sought me out.” I wanted this conversation over and done with as soon as possible. “You stumbled in here drunk, claiming that I had hurt your feelings so badly, and when I tried to send you back, you pinned me to the wall and well…”

His eyes filled with slight panic. “Well?”

I crossed my legs. “Called me Roman.”

Roman was my elder brother.

And to anyone who was close to the both of them, which seemed to be only me, Killian’s first and only love.

Killian“Are you going to keep standing there? Don't you have other people you need to ‘hunt’ down and kill?”The judgment in Matteo’s tone was evident but it mattered little to me. I stared at the door— wondering why Rosalind’s room was soundproof and what they were saying before I said quietly, “Do you trust him?”“Who?”“Elias.” I tilted my head to the side. “It seems you both have a relationship since he sent for you.”“That’s not what I asked.”I turned around fully to look at him. “If I answer your question, would you answer mine?”He didn’t respond. I answered. “There will always be people for me to hunt but since I am here now, they can wait. I will leave after I finish speaking to her to finish what I was doing.”“That’s how simple it is to you, isn’t it?” Matteo’s eyes stayed cool. “Killing even your own kind.”“Yes.” Being a Veyr was nothing less than being a killer. Killing the people who the Council no longer deemed necessary. The only problem was for the first time, a m

Killian It was rare for three Alphas to be in the same room without the threat of war or problems hovering over us, but somehow, Rosalind had made it possible. “Should we be having this conversation now? She just woke up.”“Yes. Show concern when you weren’t here at all.” Her irritation was clear, and understandable. After my… act last night, I should have stayed behind and cared for her. But the effects of the rut had lasted and I’d needed to take care of it. “Continue, Elias.”Elias smiled at her. His scent was still a strange one— he probably hid it. Many Blackthorne’s tended to hide their scents. But I could tell that he had been worried about her. Extremely. “Of course. As I was saying, there is not enough knowledge on how to handle a pregnancy, especially one like yours. It’s been almost a decade or perhaps more since anyone conceived, and with you being a Rare Omega— I cannot use whatever books we had before.”“What about cross referencing—”Rosalind raised her hand as she gl

“What happened to her?! Why is she in pain?!” Adrian. “Don’t yell. It will only upset her.” Elias. “Shouldn’t we rush her to the hospital?” Matteo. The entire room had pivoted into commotion as Elias took off my shirt. The pain I was feeling in my belly didn’t worsen. If anything, it grew more, digging deeper into my stomach and spreading. Matteo rushed to me, his eyes more alive than I’d ever seen them. “Miss, we need to—”I grabbed the collar of his shirt and yanked him closer. “What I need is my fucking husband. He’s the one who wants it, isn’t he? He’s the one that abandoned me after the nonsense that happened last night. Where the fuck is he?!”I did not like to curse in succession like that but I couldn’t help it. The pain wasn’t even making me sad. I felt angry.Angry that I was finally about to get used to it, that I was trying my best to act like I had everything under control when I did not. Like I wasn’t scared of this baby in my belly signaling me out permanently as a

I stared at Elias. Stared at his jawline, at his pale unblemished skin, at the way sunlight seemed to flow through his hair. Especially at his rosy lips and the fact that he couldn’t even stare back at me from how hard he was blushing as he folded my clothes. He’d decided he didn’t like the state “I can’t ask you questions if you keep looking at me like that.”I smiled. “Looking at you like what?”Something hit me on the face. I froze as my panties slid from my face— the underwear thrown by none other than Matteo who was now packing around my room. “Stop seducing him and use your words, little dove. You’re embarrassing me.”I heard a small chuckle as my panties slid down my face from Elias who I sent a glare before adding, “Elias. Can you tell Matteo that I’m not talking to him because I’m mad at him?” “Don’t repeat the words she’s saying. She’s a little crazy. It can spread to you.” Matteo’s smug voice echoed through the room. “Let me deal with her. Our crazies can handle this tog

“Fawn? Please. Come in.” Roman’s face was as ethereal as always. His scent felt like a cocoon as it wrapped around me, warming me up almost immediately. “You look slightly better than the last time I saw you. Have you and Killian finally fixed your issues?”Fixed?Last night had been hours ago and I couldn’t stop tasting him in my mouth, seeing his eyes as they stared at me like I was nothing as he fucked my mouth again and again. And his pheromones had hit me midway when Adrian had come in as if he was trying to alert him about where we were. My nipples had hardened so badly from how cold it suddenly felt that I was so close to begging him for more. But then I’d sensed the killing intent. And that was all I needed to remember what exactly I was planning to do. “He stayed overnight. Did you know that?”Roman’s bluish green eyes swirled softly with concern. “No. I did not. Please, sit. Mother isn’t home so we can have breakfast—”“I’m sorry. I can’t.” I smiled but he didn’t seem to l

Elias“I told you to wait, Killian. I did not authorize your usage of those drugs.” The itch under my skin had worsened. I could feel the hive already spreading the longer I smelled it. The pheromones all mixed together in the atmosphere. But I couldn’t say anything. Not yet. “Something happened after the last time we spoke. I… I needed an answer.”I pinched the bridge of my nose. My eyes moved back to the space Alexa and Matteo stayed in. I could sense his gaze looking at me, as if he feared I would leave him here. A gaze he’d shown me so many times I’d know it if I lost both my eyes. “Killian, please—”“Where are you?” I could hear it in his voice. He was already breathless, panting in a way that made me uneasy. The medicine he had taken was an old one. Something my family had perfected then abandoned. But he, like most of them up there, had no idea the changes our biology had undergone as years passed. If he had just waited a little bit…‘It’s not like you’d have told him what y
