"Someone would like to see you."

Halting on his way out, Steven threw a daunting look at Isabella, from whose nod you could tell was reassuring herself that she could do this—that she could face Patricia.

Leonardo broke free from her hands, gripping his waist nervously thereafter and the sheriff closed the doors to the both of them.

"I thought you said i was the one supposed to go in?" Leonardo raised his voice at him. "It isn't your kids that's missing, Leonard" Stevens replied but honestly, little did he know.

He took a step back, letting those words quench the worry that filled his eyes. As much he didn't want to, he could see them—Patricia growing angry behind her desk and Isabella wiping her eye.

He couldn't help but feel that he ruined the both of them.
