Alpha's Chase's Pov
"The girl, the halfling, I don't know where she is," he managed to say and I groaned in frustration.
"Ryan, what are you doing here?" I asked, trying to keep my voice calm.
"I heard about the halfling," he replied, stepping out of the shadows. "I came to offer my help."
I raised an eyebrow in surprise. Ryan had lost the Alpha title to me a few years ago, and he'd never been one to offer help without expecting something in return.
"What's the catch?" I asked suspiciously.
"No catch," Ryan said, holding up his hands in a gesture of innocence. "I just want to help. The halfling is important to our pack, and we need to find out what happened to her."
I hesitated for a moment, considering his offer. Ryan and I had never gotten along, but if he was telling the truth and wanted to help, I couldn't afford to turn him away.
"Fine," I said finally. "But don't expect me to trust you completely."
Ryan nodded, and we set off to find out what had happened to the halfling. As we walked, I couldn't help but wonder if Ryan was hiding something. But for now, I had to focus on the task at hand and figure out what had happened to the halfling before it was too late.
We made our way to the elevator and I pressed the button for the second floor, where her room was located, immediately.
As the elevator doors opened, we stepped out onto the second floor and quickly made our way to the halfling's room. When we arrived, we found her room scattered. Her clothes were everywhere, torn.
Her belongings shattered and destroyed like a wild animal broke in. I looked over at Simon who was waiting for me, still confused about what happened to this room.
"Where is she? Who did this?" I asked him, angrily.
With his head low, he answered, "Alpha, when I arrived at the room. It was all like this."
"Who the hell is her roommate?" I demanded again.
"Her roommate finally changed to her wolf and was immediately transferred to the warriors. I do not think she was behind this since she should have left," he said truthfully.
I frowned, trying to make sense of the situation. It didn't add up. If the halfling's roommates were sent to the warrior's location, then who could have done this?
"Did anyone else have access to this room?" I asked Simon.
"No, Alpha," he replied. "Only the halfling had a key to this room."
I rubbed my temples, feeling a headache coming on. This was a complete mess, and I didn't know where to start.
"Simon, we need to investigate this further," I said, turning to my brother. "We need to find out who did this and why."
Simon nodded in agreement, and we began to search the room more thoroughly. As we searched, I couldn't help but think that this was more than just a random attack. Someone had a motive for doing this, and I needed to find out who.
"Who would want to end her life more than I do?" I thought to myself.
My brain was thinking of what to do when I suddenly yelled out in frustration, "Arghhh, where on earth could she be?"
As if the heavens felt my anger, a storm began, hitting the windows of the room with a loud bang, causing everyone standing with me to jump. It was as if the universe was trying to tell me something.
That's when I noticed and I walked over to the window. I saw the way the leaves were swirling in the wind, and I knew that we had to move quickly if I wanted to save the halfling.
"We don't have much time," I said to Ryan and Simon. "We need to act fast."
I ordered them to search everywhere for the bullied halfling, but they all brought back the same response. They couldn't find her.
We searched the and the surrounding areas, but there was no sign of the halfling. The storm outside was getting worse, and I knew we had to find her before it was too late.
As we continued our search, I noticed the door to the backyard was locked and I found it unusual. Something about it caught my attention, and I had a feeling that the halfling was somewhere around there.
"Who locked this?” I demanded, my voice thundering through the whole house, and they all fell to their knees from the impact.
Ryan and Simon quickly stepped forward, shaking their heads in confusion. "We don't know," Ryan said. "We didn't even know it was locked until you pointed it out."
I frowned, suspicious of the situation. "Well, someone must have locked it," I said firmly. "And I have a feeling that whoever did it knows something about the halfling's disappearance."
I turned to the others. "Search the house," I ordered. "I want everyone to report back to me with anything they find that might be related to the halfling."
As the pack members scattered to search the house, I made my way outside to the backyard.
With a loud snap, the lock broke, and I went out into the rain.
I stood there, my eyes scanning the vast back, for something or a clue that would lead me to the halfling, but I saw nothing. I was about to leave when I saw a frame, huddled in the corner, her small body shaking with fear and cold from the storm.
I rushed over to the frame, crouching down beside her. "Are you okay?" I asked, my voice filled with concern.
The lady nodded, her teeth chattering. "I'm just cold," she said, her voice barely above a whisper with pale skin. She wasn't the halfling I was looking for, but the lady who spilled the coffee on my shirt.
With a chuckle, I carried her in my arms so she could enter the pack house. But when I carried her, I noticed her breathing was light and her lips became pale like she had been poisoned.
As I walked into the pack house I mind-linked Simon, "Get me the doctor now!”
I could feel the tension rising in the pack house as I waited for Simon to bring the doctor. All eyes were on the woman in my arms, and I knew that something was seriously wrong.
Finally, Simon arrived with the doctor, who immediately rushed over to examine the woman.
"You have found the halfling?" Simon asked with relief and I looked at him surprised.
"She's the halfling?" I asked and he nodded.
A smile formed on my face and I stared at her, but it quickly turned into a frown. "Who dared to hurt her? If there's anyone who has the right to hurt this girl, it's me!” I thought to myself and the room became silent as my pack members looked at me with a mix of concern and fear.
As the doctor checked her over, his expression grew more and more grave.
"What's wrong with her?" I asked, anger evident in my voice.
The doctor looked up at me, his face somber. "I'm afraid she's been poisoned," he said. "And it's a deadly poison. We need to act fast if we're going to save her, but I fear it is too late."
ALPHA CHASE'S POV "I can't say, but you have a chance to take her back…" he said and I admired his honesty. After eating, we headed back to the hospital room pending the time Simon prepared a room for him in the pack house since he planned on staying. As Rico and I sat in Royal's hospital room, waiting anxiously for any news about her condition, we heard a knock at the door and we saw two women, with a baby. "Mother? Devi? Asher?" Rico called out in surprise and together with Aiden, they ran out with smiles on their faces. "Grandmother, Auntie!” Aiden beamed as he stretched to carry the little one. Curious, I walked outside too. "Alpha Chase," both women greeted in unison. "How is she?" the older lady inquired, her voice trembling with worry. "We're expecting good news," I answered, still waiting for an introduction, which Alpha Rico did. "Lady Loretta, Luna Devi, thank you for coming. The doctors are running tests to determine what's causing her condition." They asked me if
ALPHA CHASE'S POV"Really?" I chuckled. "So nice of them to do me a favor by coming to me directly! Prepare the men!" I ordered and with a nod, he left. Making sure not to disturb my mate and son, I took out a few clothes for battle and then headed out. As I stepped out of the elevator, I cracked my knuckles, a wicked smile playing on my lips. Been so long since the bloodthirsty Alpha went to battle. As I led my pack members out to confront the rogue wolves who dared to breach our territory and threaten us, I felt confident even though it was unplanned. To avoid anyone getting hurt, my warriors and I had no choice but to confront these intruders head-on before they got to the bustling area of the pack.We finally met them and as I looked at the intruders, I couldn't help but notice a familiar face among them. Feina, my ex-girlfriend, stood there, her eyes filled with anger and resentment. I banished her from our pack when I discovered the dark deeds she had committed, and it was clea
ROYAL'S POV:"If you love yourself and your son, come alone!" The second message read.Without another word, I left the room, my steps echoing through the empty hallways as I made my way to the warehouse on the abandoned Omega Road. My every heartbeat was a drumming reminder of my desperation, pushing me to reach Aiden as quickly as possible. When I reached the abandoned building, my heart pounded in my chest. The darkness and silence that surrounded it sent a shiver down my spine. But I couldn't afford to hesitate. I took a deep breath and pushed open the creaking door, my senses alert for any sign of danger.Inside, the dimly lit interior revealed a horrifying sight. There, in the middle of the warehouse, I saw my son, Aiden, bound and gagged, tears streaming down his little face. My heart clenched at the sight, and I rushed to his side, my own tears mingling with his as I untied him. "My baby,” I whispered."Mommy!" My heart was a storm of fear and anguish, and all I could think of was our precious Aiden, taken away from us by cruel and unknown hands.Alpha Chase's eyes were wide with shock and concern as he held me close. "How did this happen, Royal? Tell me everything," he pleaded, his voice filled with urgency.Taking a shaky breath, I recounted the horrifying events. "We were on our way to the Silver Lining pack. Aiden was asleep in my lap in the backseat. Suddenly, a group of masked men ambushed us. They were armed, and there was nothing we could do. They forced me out of the car and... hit me then they took Aiden with them," I choked on my words, reliving the traumatic moment.Alpha Chase's jaw clenched in anger as he processed the information. "We will find them," he vowed, his voice filled with determination to save his son "Simon, we need to act fast. Gather our best t
Alpha Chase's POVShe left. The one woman who gave me peace. The one woman who broke my curse, the mother of my child left!Watching the vehicle which carried Royal and our son Aiden away, brought immense pain to my heart. As the sound of Royal's car faded into the distance, I couldn't help but feel empty. The days I spent with Royal and Aiden were more than magical. Now, with her gone, I was left with a void that seemed impossible to fill. "I told you to tell her, didn't I?" my angry wolf scolded. "If I did, she'd have packed her things and left that instant. I didn't know last night would happen and I would be so trapped that I would spill it all…" I answered.I sighed heavily and went back to my home. To the grand doors of the six-story pack house. I clenched my jaw and pushed the heavy wooden doors open, stepping into the familiar scent of my home. My footsteps echoed through the corridor as I made my way to my office. The pack had been in turmoil since I'd been away for treatm
Royal's POVWith those words, Chase came into my room, horny and ready to devour me whole. I, on the other hand, was prepared for him no matter how much I lied to myself. I wanted him, and only him.Just like old times, his hand touched me in all the sweet and weak spots and the feeling was heavenly. He kissed me with so much desire, that I could feel myself submitting to him when he had not even started anything yet."Just fuck me already," I screamed in my subconscious but didn't dare to say it out. Why rush what I'd enjoy throughout the night? A few minutes into foreplay, I regretted my decision as I tried so hard to push him away while he ate me out. His tongue, his lips, his fingers, everything! I was so lost in the pleasure, that my moans disappeared, replaced by gasps and shudders. One command from him and more juice dripped from my insides and I lay there like a goddess being worshiped.Once he satisfied himself and turned my legs to jelly, he spread my legs, positioning his
