Chapter 7 Even the devil was once an angel

"No! I can’t let Lily get hurt." Alyssa immediately called Ezekiel, but he didn’t answer. She then contacted his assistant, who rarely gave her trouble.

She quickly got a response: Ezekiel was at the hospital.

Alyssa hurriedly took a taxi to the hospital.

Standing in front of the massive hospital building, Alyssa’s anger flared uncontrollably. She wouldn’t allow anyone to harm Lily.

She found Cindy’s room and pushed the door open. Inside, Ezekiel was gently holding Cindy, comforting her.

The sight stabbed at her heart.

"Are you here to apologize?" Ezekiel noticed her and said coldly.

Apologize? Why should she apologize? He was the alpha of the pack, and he had access to every surveillance camera in his territory.

He was shameless! He had hurt Lily!

Her sorrow was instantly consumed by rage. Alyssa stepped forward and slapped Ezekiel across the face.

"Are you insane, Alyssa?!" Cindy exclaimed in shock.

Alyssa ignored Cindy. She looked at Ezekiel, whose eyes burned with fury, but she didn’t care. All she wanted to know was where Lily was!

"Tell me, Ezekiel! What did you do to Lily?!" she signed frantically, tears streaming down her face. She couldn’t bear the thought of Lily suffering because of her.

It was all her fault that Lily had crossed Ezekiel.

"Wow! Ezekiel, you really hurt Lily for me. Your earlier attitude made me think…" Cindy immediately clung to Ezekiel, her beta wolf healing quickly.

"Enough, Cindy," Ezekiel commanded, then turned his dark gaze to Alyssa. "Did you really think I’d tolerate your endless defiance?"

"Tell me! Why did you hurt her?" Alyssa signed again, hating her inability to speak.

"I told you not to defy me. Lily’s suffering is because of you," Ezekiel said coldly. "You’re just a mute omega. You’ll never defy your alpha!"

His words cut through her like a knife. She couldn’t believe the man she once loved had become a monster.

She tried to open her mouth, to scream at him, to ask if she hadn’t suffered enough. Tears streamed down her face as she bit her lip until she tasted blood.

"Alyssa, you should’ve known my place in Ezekiel’s heart. He’d never let you hurt me," Cindy’s sharp voice broke the silence, dripping with mockery.

Alyssa turned and glared at Cindy, who immediately shrank behind Ezekiel. "Save me, Ezekiel… I just went to buy coffee, but her friend went crazy and poured hot coffee on my back…"

"Leave now, or I won’t guarantee I won’t hurt you again," Ezekiel hissed.

Alyssa’s heart sank. She let out a bitter laugh, realizing her mistake.

In his eyes, Cindy would always come first. No matter what Cindy did, he would protect her!

But now, she had to save Lily.

Alyssa knelt before Ezekiel. She heard Cindy gasp.

"Everything that happened today is my fault. Lily attacked Cindy because of me. So direct all your anger at me. Leave Lily alone," Alyssa signed desperately, her eyes filled with despair.

Ezekiel didn’t respond, just stared at her coldly.

Alyssa gritted her teeth and did something she never thought she would. She turned to Cindy, set aside her pride, and signed an apology.

Cindy’s eyes gleamed with malice. She turned to Ezekiel and sneered, "She knows I don’t understand sign language, yet she’s trying to talk to me. She might be insulting me right now, and I wouldn’t even know."

Alyssa’s heart sank. She looked at Ezekiel, hoping he’d show mercy, but he said coldly, "Lily will never return. She must face the consequences of her actions. Beta, take Luna Alyssa away."

Ezekiel rubbed his temples, exhaustion evident in his voice.

Simon immediately entered from outside. Alyssa struggled, signing, "Ezekiel, please, don’t hurt Lily. I won’t divorce you… please."

"Wait," Ezekiel suddenly said, as if remembering something. "Take her for a check-up."

A check-up? No! Alyssa began to struggle violently. She couldn’t let Ezekiel find out she was pregnant!

He would force her to abort the baby!

But as an omega, her strength was no match. Simon forcibly took her to the examination room.

The doctor entered and quickly injected her with something. She passed out—
