Author’s POV

Amelia stepped out of her room and began walking toward the dining hall. She was still on the upper floor, just about to descend the staircase, when Klaus spotted her from where he sat below.

The moment his eyes landed on her, his entire body stiffened. His gaze locked on the bruises scattered across her skin, the ones he had put there and a jolt of panic hit him. She wasn’t wearing makeup to cover them this time. No long sleeves, no high neck, no careful disguise. Every mark was there, raw and visible.

The dining hall was already full. Servants moved quickly to prepare the meal, the clinking of plates echoing against the high walls. Everyone had taken their seats, the King included.

And if the King saw her like this… Klaus knew exactly what would happen.

In a flash of supernatural speed, he was on his feet and racing up the stairs. He stopped her halfway, blocking her path.

“What the hell are you doing?” he hissed under his breath. “Don’t you see your bruises are showi

  • Pregnant for my husband’s father    Chapter 80

Amelia’s POVI looked at Klaus, down on his knees, his whole body shaking. A bitter smile crept onto my face, not the kind that comes from happiness, but from the twisted satisfaction of seeing him like this. Pitiful. Weak. Afraid. He stared back at me with pure hatred in his eyes, and I knew… if the King wasn’t here, he would have snapped my neck without thinking. But right now, I didn’t care. I wanted him to feel the way I’ve felt for so long, powerless. But then, the room started spinning. My vision blurred, my head felt heavy. I didn’t know if it was the wolfbane I had taken to stop my healing, or if my body had finally given up on me. My eyelids grew heavier with each blink, until I couldn’t fight it anymore. The darkness swallowed me whole.****************When I woke up, the first thing I noticed was the soft beeping sound. My arm felt heavy. I glanced down and saw a drip needle in my vein. My nose caught the sharp smell of antiseptic. I was in a hospital bed.I turned my hea

Amelia’s POVI couldn’t stop shaking. His fingers dug into my wrists so hard I thought my skin would tear. I kept twisting, trying to get free, but every time I moved, his grip only got tighter.“Klaus, please,” I whispered. My voice cracked. “Don’t do this.”He laughed, a low, ugly sound that made my stomach twist.“Don’t do this? This is what I do, Amelia.”I turned my face away, but he grabbed my jaw, forcing me to look at him. His eyes weren’t drunk and blurry like I hoped they’d be, they were sharp. He wanted to be here. He wanted to see me break.“Stop crying,” he said, like my tears were annoying him.But I couldn’t. They kept falling, hot and fast, blurring my vision. He shoved me toward the bed. My knees hit the frame hard, and I stumbled onto the mattress. My heart was racing so fast it hurt. I wanted to run, but my legs felt heavy, useless, like they weren’t even mine anymore. He climbed over me, the weight of his body pressing me down. I felt trapped. Pinned. Like an ani

Amelia’s POVThe sharp knock tore through my sleep like a knife. My eyes fluttered open, and the room was still drowned in shadows. Midnight. The palace was silent, the kind of silence that feels alive, watching you.I sat up slowly, my pulse already uneasy. For a moment, I thought it might be the King… but no. The King never knocks. He comes and goes like the air, here one second, gone the next.I slipped out of bed, the cold floor biting at my bare feet, and reached for the door.It swung open before I could touch it.Klaus.His frame filled the doorway, and the stench hit me before the sight of his face fully registered, alcohol, bitter and sour, clinging to his clothes and skin like rot. His eyes were red, unfocused, but burning with something far more dangerous than drunkenness.“Klaus… what are you doing he—”I didn’t get to finish. The world tilted as my back slammed against the wall. My breath left me in a sharp gasp. His hands found my wrists, pinning them above my head wit

Ethan’s POV“Wait. What?” I cut her off sharply, my voice louder than I intended, the sudden idea of her wanting another child hitting me like a bucket of cold water.“I want us to have another baby,” she said.I didn’t let her finish before I cut her off, my temper flaring. Hearing those words a second time only made me angrier.“Want a baby? Are you even listening to yourself?” I snapped. “You’re bored and lonely, so your solution is to have a baby? Does that sound normal to you? If you’re fucking bored and lonely, you knit. You hang out with your friends. You go shopping. You don’t just decide to bring another life into this house like it’s some kind of hobby. People who are bored go out and have fun, Elena, they don’t demand a baby.”“What’s so wrong with us having another baby?” she countered, her tone defensive. That only fueled my anger.“Everything,” I barked. “Everything is wrong with it. We’re already crappy parents. Have you forgotten about the one we already have? Liam. He

Ethan’s POV“Okay, I will head out first.” I said to Alex and left, forcing myself to act casual, though my heart was still hammering from what just happened.A smile crept onto my face as I made my way back to the bar. I hadn’t been this happy in a long time, no, scratch that, I hadn’t felt alive like this in years. It was reckless, dangerous, forbidden… but I didn’t care. He’s mine.I sat down on the bar stool, still replaying every second in my head, when Elena walked up to me.“Have you seen Alex? We need to leave. Kai is too drunk,” she said, looking frantic.I shook my head, ready to lie. “No, I haven’t—”But before I could even finish, Alex walked in.My stomach tightened. He didn’t even look at me at first and then he did. A quick, sharp glance, like a blade sliding between my ribs.“Alex, where have you been? I’ve been looking for you,” Elena said, stepping toward him.“I just went out to make out with some dude.”His words cut, but his eyes stayed on me. He knows exactly wh
