Jessamine composed herself before asking, "What's he doing in Hajera?"

Xander picked up his cup and took a sip of his drink.

"I haven't figured that out yet," he told her. "The first thing he did when he arrived was to buy a house. He even showed the property managers his ID card, so he had to be buying it for himself."
