LOGINLiam's POV
I was very serious about me and Kai being strangers.
He had no reason to be hurt about the fact that I wasn't acknowledging him or the numerous texts he had sent me since the last time we spoke.
But he definitely was.
He threw himself into the upcoming wedding with Cerise, posting regularly about it on his social media. He was popular, so I saw the posts; I was not stalking him or anything.
My phone pings, and when I check it, I find out that his latest post on T*****r is blowing up.
It's a picture of Kai and Cerise, both smiling wide, his arms around her as she nuzzles into him.
With hashtags #iwouldnotwantitanyotherway #nohomo
Kai had personally sent it to my DM to ensure that I saw how happy he was with Cerise and that he didn't give a fuck about me.
That was a tell on its own.
I look up at my computer, then my phone pings again.
If I receive another text concerning Kai’s homophobic post, I am going to block him and punch him the next time I see him.
But it's not a text from T*****r, it's one from Dr. Steve, Kai's new doctor.
“Hey Liam, I was wondering if you could bring Liam's file over. Our appointment is in the next twenty minutes, and I'd like to go over it.”
Fuck.
“I'm so sorry; it totally skipped my mind. Thank you once again for taking him off my hands, I owe you one. And I'm bringing the file over right about now,” I shoot back.
I rummage through the different files in my cabinet, and finally seeing Kai's file, I tug it under my arm, and hurry out of my office.
I do not want to run into him, so I have to be in and out as fast as possible.
This whole thing would have been easier if Alpha Anderson had not requested that we not store Kai's medical history in our hospital’s cloud, because it could be 'easily hacked into and endanger the pack’.
I wonder what kind of harm Kai's homoerotic loving dick could do to the pack.
I get there in under three minutes, knocking on the door and listening to ensure that there is nobody inside except Doctor Steve, then pushing and walking in when given the permission.
“Thank you so much doctor, I'll let you finish your work” I say and turn back, ready to leave after handing him the file.
“Liam, wait- I would love to ask you a few questions about Kai, concerning his health of course”
“I would love to help you doctor, but I promise, I don't know anything about Kai's health, he would be in a better position to answer those questions, our sessions were…few and far between, if I do remember anything of note, I will make sure to shoot you a text”
More like I didn't want to stay here and run into Kai when he walked in.
“Thank you for your help” He said curtly, that was my cue to leave.
I spin on my heel and speed walk out of there.
“Babe, isn't that the doctor that you had a session with the other day at the pack house?” A familiar voice calls ahead and I lift my eyes, coming face to face with Kai Anderson.
“Well if it isn't Doctor Liam,” He chuckles, “ Fancy seeing you here, I hope you saw the message I sent you” his face is smiley, but his voice is hard. I assume he must be talking about the homophobic post.
I don't respond.
My expression is stony, I divert my eyes.
I don't even nod to acknowledge him, my eyes pass over him like he's invisible.
I nod to the lady, then walk towards them without a word, aiming to walk past them, avoiding as much contact as possible. I can tell he's seething, I couldn't bring myself to care even if I tried.
I'm tired of his antics.
He pulls his fiancee closer, her name is Cerise. If I'm not mistaken.
Planting his palm on her ass and kissing her cheek, she moves her head and they end up kissing on the lips, his eyes fixed on me.
I clench my teeth, a mistake because the next minute, satisfaction shines in his eyes. He knows he's getting to me.
I don't say anything to the both of them, just fix my stare ahead and move in the direction of my office.
“What was that all about?” Cerise asks, I can still hear them even though I'm supposed to be out of earshot, my wolf powers, I'm sure.
“He was staring at you too much, I had to remind him that you're mine” He lies through his teeth and I scoff.
He knows damn well I wasn't staring at her, I couldn't care less, or give a fuck about the lady, respectfully. I suspected too, that neither did he, he kissed her solely to get a reaction out of me, or to try to make me believe that he was happy with her, a futile attempt, considering that I don't care what he likes or dislikes in his life.
“He was-” She starts, then stops, a smile crosses her face and she throws her hands around his neck, pulling him into a wet kiss.
I could report them for indecent behavior, but he was the son of an Alpha, and an Alpha himself, of course nothing was going to be done about it. I also just wanted to have peace, whatever Kai Anderson does is none of my concern.
The walk back to my office takes longer than it took to get to Mr Steve's office, mainly because I'm not walking as briskly, not that it did me any good. I still ran into Kai even though I'd tried my best not to.
I push open the door to my office, hoping to get a few minutes of rest before calling the next patient in.
“I've been waiting quite some time for you Doc.”
My head snaps towards the voice and I find him standing by my cabinet, looking through a patient's file.
“Greetings Alpha Anderson,” I start, “I am delighted that you've decided to grace me with your presence today, but I have to ask you to abstain from rummaging through other patient's files. It's against hospital policies and patient confidentiality.”
“Oh, my bad” He responds, “you won't report me to the management, will you?”
“There would be no need for that.”
He smirks and moves away from the cabinet, sitting on the chair opposite mine, his legs propped up on my table.
“May I ask why you're here, Alpha?” I ask.
“I'm here because I need your help,” he says.
“I don't follow.”
“That patient confidentiality you were talking about, I need you to put it into practice in real time.”
“What do you mean.”
“There's a boy in my pack, he has a very..delicate issue” He looks at me, I gesture for him to continue, “I need you to handle his case discreetly”
“Are you asking me to take a patient into my roster without letting the hospital know?”
“You can let them know, alright, just don't let them know his real medical issue.”
“you want me to LIE?!” I shove away from my desk, standing.
“Sit down”
I obey.
“If you feel so strongly about lying, then don't let them know at all. How about that?”
“I'm sorry, I cannot help you Alpha. I wish I could”
“Are you sure about that?”
He slides something in an envelope to me and my eyes widen.
Liam's POVThis is a tricky situation. The bulky envelope, no doubt containing money, is begging me to take it.“I cannot take that, Alpha.” I state. “ I'll do this as a favour to you, but offering me hush money is an insult to the hippocratic oath, and to my license” He smirks, Alpha Anderson is not the kind of man you say no to, I had only two options, do it without the bribe or do it with the bribe. I picked the one that eased my mind a little.“You're very smart, Doc. I'm glad you've decided to help me out” He lifts his leg from my table, standing with a grunt.“Well, I'll be on my way.” He said to me, then turns to his phone and dials up a number, “Send Gary in” Then he walks out without another word and I'm left reeling. Will I regret this decision I've made?Three minutes later, a knock sounds on my door.“Come in.”A young boy, about eighteen years old, walks in, head and shoulders slumped. What I notice though, is the way he walks, like he's in a lot of pain and discomfort.

Kai's POV I follow Liam around like a lost puppy. He's being very adamant and I don't know why I'm so hell-bent on him going on a date with me. I guess I want to sway him, make him change his mind about this being our last interaction.Liam hates me, or at least wants to avoid having anything to do with me, but I need Liam, before getting married to Cerise I need Liam to show me all that I have been missing.“Please?” I whine, tugging at his shirt as he goes into the kitchen, shuffling through utensils.“What the fuck is your problem.” He slams the butter knife on the counter, making me jump at the sound. “Leave me the fuck alone, you're getting married soon, why the hell won't you let me just be?” “I just want to treat you, before we cut all connections with each other” I whisper, looking down at my hands.I am Kai Anderson, I am not one to shy away from a tough situation and I definitely am not the type to cry. Shock passes through me as I feel my eyes get wet. With tears.“Are
Kai's POVMy thigh muscles spasm as we drive to Liam's apartment. I barely notice anything else, my blood thrumming in anticipation. He fishes out his key and unlocks the door.Immediately we're inside, I push him against the door, unbuckling his belt and dropping to my knees. His hands find my hair and I groan, pleasure rolling down my spine in waves. “Fuck Kai, you're so perfect.” He whispers, thrusting into my mouth, hitting the back of my throat. His hands are pulling my hair almost painfully, but the pain makes it even better. He's bucking and that's how I know he's about to come.“Get up,” he orders and I obey, our mouths crashing into each other. We move to his bedroom in a tangle of limbs, kissing and sucking and nipping. “Get on,” he says.I don't need to be told twice, I get on the bed, getting rid of my jeans. We're both stark naked, his perfect body gleaming with a sheen of sweat, he was a delight to look at.“Put your ass in the air, I'm going to fuck you senseless and
Liam's POVKai flips us over once more so that he is on top. My back hits the sofa with a thud.“You're so goddess damned handsome,” His eyes are cloudy with lust and I don't need to see a mirror to know that mine are the same. His body is cut like some god from Greek mythology, he could probably crack a nut with his biceps. Hard chiseled chest and a six pack worthy of being on the cover of a magazine, yet here he is, telling me that I was handsome.A blush crept up my neck, flushing my cheeks and I closed my eyes, hoping he didn't notice my reddened cheeks.“Are you blushing?” He chuckles.“You're so adorable, I want to put you in my pocket and carry you around, everywhere I go” He traces my clavicle, his breath fanning my face as he whispers sweet nothings into my ear.“I think of you every single second, you have wormed your way into my head and I can't help myself”My breathing comes in gasps, anticipating his next moves, my blood humming with excitement. This man is going to be
Liam's POV“Fuck!” I wake up with a start. When did I fall asleep? I must have been exhausted after the incident at Kai's residence, because not only did I fall asleep at my desk, I was riddled with some sort of nightmare.I groan, rubbing my eyes and stretching. I really need to get it together, as a doctor I was very familiar with exhaustion, but when it becomes too much, that's dangerous territory. My throat is parched, I grab a glass and stand from my chair. There should be some water in the other room.I walk into the inner room, it's a little compartment space before my office that I use as a resting space sometimes.I walk right into a body and almost tumble, stopping myself from letting out a yelp.“Who- WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING HERE?” Not only was Kai Anderson in my inner office, he was slouched against the sofa like his knees couldn't hold him up.My doctor instincts kicked in.“What's wrong with you? Hey, sit down. What are you doing here?” I ask.He stumbled, like he
