Aakifahlynn stirred awake, taking a few seconds to get caught up. She was resting but had no recollection of getting to her room, let alone her bed.

She surmised Demarion, the disgraced Emperor who had brought her here after the hospital. Gosh, the hospital, Aakifahlynn, hoped everyone had fully recovered.

She stretched and sat up, wondering what time of day it was and how long she had been out. Her pretty blue eyes slid to the large clock on the wall.

Long and short, hands were on twelve, and by the light shining in from outside, Aakifahlynn knew it had to be 12 noon.

She sighed. A day had passed, and she knew it. Aakifahlynn recalled it being midday when she was at the hospital. Nevertheless, she felt good but comprehended she needed to run.

Thinking of her next move, sadness, and loneliness engulfed Aakifahlynn, and she took a moment to wallow, falling back on the pillow.

It dawned heavily on her that she was entirely ALONE with no one to trust.

And who she could trust, she wanted

In the next instance, Aakifahlynn quickly jumped into action when one sneaky bastard was stupid enough to try to strike the tail.Securely wrapped in the tail, she sent a ball of energy straight towards him when the serpent finished his last meal, turning quickly and snarling at the one that dared to sneak up behind him.And suddenly, Aakifahlynn sensed an overwhelming amount of love and adoration. To the creature, his mother had saved him and fought for him. His head dipped low, getting closer to her as if he wanted her to touch him and pet him. And Aakifahlynn did. Just as she was petting his tail, she could not help it.It was like instinct to her. It suddenly felt like she'd done this countless times in that quick movement. She soothed him as she cooed, "Thank you, big guy. You saved me from my worst nightmare. They're all gone now."It stood about fifty feet off the ground. The serpentine creature's long body and tail went on for days, and Aakifahlynn watched as his head slowly

The trees were tall and domineering, and the vines that ran from root to root were clad in gorgeous flowers, the kind she had never seen before. The sight was mesmerizing. Aakifahlynn's head tilted up, dashing left to right. She spun around, almost tripping on a thick vine, taking in the picturesque view and committing every detail to memory. This was otherworldly, she'd thought. If she could draw, she would have sketched it then and there. Her mind was beginning to relax, and her current torment was at bay.She continued walking, looking at every crevice and detail she ventured into until she heard water falling. She started making her way there, following the sound, curious about what majestic waterfall this private island had hidden. This was amazing. If the forest looked like this, Aakifahlynn wondered what a waterfall would look like here and was eager to find out. To explore the beauty of this private island, her steps quickened. However, a few more steps further in her haste to

So, this was the Kingdom's doing? Which must have been Jairus's doing all along. It is one thing to suspect, but it is something entirely different to have confirmation. They must plan their attack after all their fun and games this week. As Jairus knew she was here, she knew he was stupid enough to mount an attack. And honestly, Aakifahlynn did not want to burden these innocent people in the Gazini Empire with her troubles. She'd rather they meet Jairus and his army in a surprise attack."Okay, thank you for answering me." Aakifahlynn's voice was soft, filled with genuine gratitude that he had not dismissed her question as he often did.If she was being honest, he had told her the details in their little conversations over the past few days, not leaving out any information or dancing around the subject. Was this really the turn of a new leaf? That may be good for Aakifahlynn because she does have some questions for him now that she remembers him from her last timeline and what was r

Raven was out, her eyes shining through, glowing that vibrant, magnificent blue, causing Demarion to stop in his tracks. In the past, Raven was always the first to accept him; his battle was getting her human to do the same. He did not want to continue this if Aakifahlynn was not at the forefront; however, Raven wanted the front seat. She said out loud this time, "Mate."Demarion's primal desire to the forefront, growled, "Mate" in response to her declaration.Raven asked, "Why didn't you say anything, my love?" Meanwhile, Aakifahlynn, still reeling from the intense emotions - the best she'd ever experienced, was so shocked and disbelieving that she couldn't bring herself to the forefront, even if she wanted to. She remained in the background, listening to the unfolding drama between Raven and Demarion, her heart torn between disbelief and a desire to understand."Your human does not trust me," Demarion admitted. "I was afraid I would lose her if I revealed the truth sooner." He l

Demarion could not think clearly. He was scared of losing Aakifahlynn again. Not long after, Aakifahlynn came out in a long white nightgown, placed her bag of things on a table next to the vast bed, and walked toward him. "Are you okay?" she asked, her voice only a whisper. Then she busied herself making a drink, "Oh, Goddess, I need a drink." Demaron gazed at her, and he smiled at her comment and answered her, "I am okay. I was just worried about what might have happened if I did not get to you in time."Aakifahlynn paused. She had also wondered the same while she was having her bath. She was grateful he'd been camping outside her room; otherwise, they might have overpowered her. The thought that she could have been on her way back to the Kingdom terrified her."Hmm, I know what you mean; it worried me too; imagine if it was not for you, I might have been on my way to the Kingdom by now," Aakifahlynn admitted and chuckled bitterly after taking a sip of scotch. She sat on the edge of

Aakifahlynn wondered what the hell had just happened; one minute, she was frantically undressing, and the next, she was being attacked. Goddess, there were three of them. She was thankful that Demarion came when he did. How does he always know when she is distressed? She watched him closely."Are you alright?" Aakifahlynn asked, snapping Demarion out of his bloodlust. She ran to him and touched his cheek gently. He had gotten a small cut, so she healed it.While Demarion looked her over, touching the slight bruising he saw on her arms caused by that bastard that handled her. He stumped hard on the man's head; it was overkill. Now that Aakifahlynn and Demarion were satisfied that the other was just fine, "I don't want you staying here tonight," Demarion stated. Still holding her arms, his hand moved up to her shoulders. He was readying himself to plead with her and beg her to listen to reason, but to his surprise, Aakifahlynn said, "I know."Then he said, "You can stay in my room; it
