CHAPTER FIFTEEN: ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM

What the hell is this guy’s problem, I thought, as I glanced over my shoulder at the tall man in charge. When he asked to be shown around on the floor, I was under the impression that he would be making small talk with the employees, asking about their work, looking as if he were interested in why they came in every day. He didn’t do that at all, in fact, he barely even looked at them. The floor itself was quiet, as everyone seemed to be on their toes, ready to answer any questions or concerns that may be thrown their way, but there was nothing. What was the point of this?
