I keeping getting everything situtated for me to go shower and get ready for work.

My father chuckles on the other end of the line. I cringe when I hear Aiden and Gunner tell him not to do it. I can only imagine what my father is going to ask of me. What I'm thinking he's going to ask for is a hard limit for me. It's a hell to the fucking no, no, no.

"Well sweetheart, I was wondering if you'd accompany me to the Hybrid Association's auction tonight." There it is. My heart sinks down to my toes and my palms begin to sweat. The Hybrid Association is the group that put together the Hybrid Balls.

Finally I find my voice. "That's going to be a hell no. I haven't been to anything they have put together in seven years. That's not going to change now." I wipe the sweat off my palms onto my yoga pants. I close m
