CHAPTER SIXTEEN: AUSTIN

"Hey kiddo, how was school today?" Leo said as we both got out of the car and walked towards Shane. I noticed he had someone other than Summer by his side, which made me curious about who the little kid was because he looked like someone I'd met before and I haven't seen him around here before.

When I reached Shane, I ruffled his hair while he tried to get away from me, but it was no use. After struggling for a few minutes, I let him go, and he pulled away from me. He glared at me while fixing his hair, then proceeded to give Leo an answer to his question. "It was cool, I guess, except for the parts Zack tried to pick on us, but we handled it," Shane signed as Leo and I gave him a concerned look.

"That little twat still hasn't learned his lesson after the last time. Do we need to speak to anyone, like the principal again?" Leo asked as his gaze moved to Shane before falling on the kid beside him. He didn't say anything, but I'm sure he was waiting for Shane to introduce him without ac
