Chapter 17: Love, secrets, and surprises

Sandra was sitting in her office, her face fixed on her laptop screen, reading about Anita on the internet. She had been doing that quite frequently since Anita showed up.

There were several stacks of paper and work left unattended on the table, but she chose to ignore them and stalk Anita on the internet instead.

She suddenly came across a picture that was posted not too long ago. Anita was spotted with a child in a school.

"Hold up," Sandra said as she zoomed in and out of the picture. She started reading the comments under the picture.

"Does Anita Fredrick have a child?" Someone commented.

Sandra quickly started going through all the other comments.

"It's unlikely that the child belongs to her; it could also be that he belongs to her best friend because they are always together." Another person commented.

Sandra's heartbeat increased as she started going through all the comments. Even the chilly air conditioner in the office did not stop beads of sweat from falling off her forehead
