“How is she?” I hear Eya’s voice in the room, feeling Osric’s warm body under me with Gunnar still in my arms.

“Resting well, the twins are so perfect,” Osric answers proudly, with a gentle rumble in his chest.

I smile at the soft feeling of Embry’s hand absentmindedly drawing on the small of my back with his fingertips.

“She reminds me of you when you were just a pup. I’m just afraid of Raven pushing the Elders to fast, Orin is still a threat… I know it can’t be easy not having her mother,” Osric admits sadly, rubbing my shoulder, breathing in my scent.
