Chapter 4 This Wedding Is Mine

Author: Perfect Timing
Our parents stammered and couldn't find the words, but Aria's eyes cleared, as if someone had wiped the fog away.

She pushed herself up against the wall and stood slowly, voice firm and steady. "No. I can't just stand here and watch them get married. This was supposed to be my wedding."

Then, the tears came again, raw and loud.

I hurried forward and patted her shoulder gently. "Now's not the time to fall apart. Pull yourself together. Whatever you decide to do, I'll back you."

Under my urging, Aria's gaze hardened. Her hands clenched without her meaning to.

"I'm going to crash the wedding and take him back," she said.

I almost applauded. Of course, she had spent years devouring those CEO romance novels. Who would think like that normally?

My chest filled with a fierce kind of pride, but my face stayed outraged. "Aria, you're right. But what are we going to do now?"

She snorted, grabbed a coat, and flung open the front door with anger pouring off her.

"How dare that woman steal my wedding? Of course I'm going to take it back. I've heard Mr. Moore keeps a distance from other women, but that night, he was unusually warm with me.

"That means that woman must have impersonated me to get close. Today, in front of everyone, I'll expose that homewrecker who stole my identity."

She ran toward the gate, flagging down a car. I climbed into the back seat and flashed my phone at the driver. "Please hurry. My sister says she's Alexander Moore's true love. If we're late, she'll miss reclaiming her groom."

The driver looked at me like I was joking. "Your sister? Mr. Moore's wife, Luna, isn't just pretty; she used to be a top student too. You sure Mr. Moore likes your sister…"

He hesitated, unable to find a polite word, and swallowed it.

Aria had been pampered at home for days, treated like a queen and fed nothing but praise. Hearing the driver say she didn't measure up to Luna blew her fuse.

"What would a cab driver like you know? Mr. Moore and I truly love each other. He promised he'd only marry me. Now, I'm carrying his child, and he's marrying someone else.

"How can I stand for that? Drive! If I lose my shot at marrying into that family, you and I won't be finished."

The driver gaped at me. I tapped my forehead to signal that Aria had lost her mind. He gave me a helpless look, turned, and drove on in silence.

The whole ride was quiet except for Aria's frantic urging. The driver, not wanting to argue with a woman who'd clearly snapped, floored it and got us to the venue fast.

Fireworks lit the sky. Aria opened the car door and sprinted toward the ceremony as if love itself waited at the altar. I paid with a calm, methodical scan, then followed her.

When I reached the entrance, Aria was already in a shouting match with security.

"Let me in!" she demanded. "Do you have any idea who I am?"

"Ma'am, do you know whose wedding this is? Without an invitation, you can't just barge in. You'd be asking for trouble," one guard replied.

"Barge in? The person getting married in there is my man. I am Alexander's wife. I'm carrying his child. Let me in, or I'll make Alexander fire every one of you idiots."

Aria screamed and sobbed, her cries echoing through the hall while the influencers trailing behind her eagerly recorded everything. Not a single person stepped forward to help.I stood at the edge of the crowd, watching with a cold detachment. So, that was it. The precious child she'd been flaunting all this time belonged to the security guard. He must have seen the suite door left open, tried to sneak in for a quick thrill, and just happened to run into Aria throwing herself at him. One accident after another followed from there.'Oh, Aria. You finally found your true husband.'She was no longer the arrogant woman she had been moments ago. Now, she was trembling, crying so hard she could barely breathe. The guard, showing no trace of pity, kicked her twice when she wouldn't stop wailing. "Keep crying, and you'll blow away every bit of luck the Ward family has."Still unsatisfied, he grabbed her by the hair and yanked her up from the floor."You got your ID on you? We're going

Alexander's face went hard as he looked at Luna.Luna frowned and demanded, "So, you're saying you knew it was Alexander's room and deliberately climbed into his bed?"Aria sneered at Luna and laughed coldly. "So what if I did? I did it openly. Unlike you, the fake is taking credit and playing the other woman."Luna snapped. She slapped Aria across the face.Aria screamed and lunged to fight, but Alexander kicked her and sent her sprawling. The hall fell completely silent.Only Aria remained on the floor, clutching her belly and wailing loudly. "Alexander, do you have no conscience? I told you who she really was for your own good. And you hit me for her. You can't treat me like this. If my in-laws find out you hurt the heir of the Moore family, they won't let you off."Alexander's fists balled at his sides, fury etched across his face. "You have no right to speak of my parents. You're nothing more than a schemer who crept into a man's bed. That night, Luna was ill. I took her to

Aria didn't let me down. In just a few strides, she leapt onto the stage, threw her arms around Alexander, and spoke with trembling passion. "Don't be afraid. I'm here. Honey, I've come to marry you."Her own words moved her to tears.Yet, Alexander stiffened, pried her off, and stared at her blankly. "Ma'am, who are you?"Aria's tear-streaked face tilted up in shock. "I'm your wife. What's wrong with you, honey?"Only then did the audience understand what was happening. Low laughter began to ripple through the crowd."Is she out of her mind? Who dares to crash Mr. Moore's wedding like this?""This is killing me. She's like a delusional fangirl.""She's got some nerve. Who crashes a high-society wedding like this? Don't you need an invitation just to get in?"Aria turned a furious glare on the guests."You idiots don't understand a thing! My husband was tricked. He mistook that scheming woman for me. Now that I'm here, honey, you have to punish those clueless security guards a

Aria glanced over the crowd packed all around her, a satisfied smirk on her face. She even cleared her throat like she was teasing them.Only after someone in the audience grew impatient and urged her to go on did she continue."That night at the hotel, the one Alexander warmed up to was me," she announced. "Luna, that conniving woman, found out and deliberately pretended to be me to get close to Alexander. She used the child in her womb to climb into his life. My poor husband was toyed with by that treacherous woman and still hasn't realized it," she said angrily, then trailed off as tears poured down her face. However, the crowd's reaction was nothing like she expected."Are you out of your mind? Luna's beautiful, well-educated, and emotionally stable. Why would she pretend to be you?""As far as I know, Luna and Alexander were already dating. Who do you think you are?""If Mr. Moore liked you so much, why would he marry someone else?"Hearing people say Luna was better than h

The security guards stood frozen, exchanging bewildered glances."Mr. Moore has always been loyal to Ms. Summers. He's never had another woman around him. And honestly, looking at you… Are you sure you're in your right mind?"Aria was convinced, deep down, that Luna had stolen her rightful place. On the way here, she had been compared to Luna again and again, each word cutting her pride until fury burst out of her."You're lying!" she shouted, her face twisted with rage. "Alexander told me himself that I'm nothing like those cheap, flashy women! I'm carrying his child! That lowborn Luna pretended to be me, stole my identity, and took my place!"The head of security swallowed hard, his expression weary."Ma'am, talk is cheap. You claim you're having Mr. Moore's baby. Do you have any proof?"Aria froze for a moment, then broke into sobs."I cared for him. I wanted to carry his child in silence and let the baby be acknowledged by his family after it was born. "But who could have
