Chapter 3

Autor: Persimmon
Tyron held my hand and spoke in a voice dripping with false affection. "Seraphina, will you be my mate?"

Thunderous applause erupted all around. In the eyes of the other beastmen, Tyron's bloodline was noble, and with me, he was sure to produce high-tier offspring, maybe even a new Beast King. These years, the tribes had been torn by endless conflicts and wars. They desperately needed a new king to rise and unite the continent.

I was racking my brain for a way to turn him down without giving away that I'd lived this life before.

But before I could get a word out, Tyron shoved me away hard. He stared at me with pure disgust and spat out, "Filthy human woman. Even with a high-tier talent, I'd never take you."

The crowd erupted in chaos. They all turned to Tyron, demanding an explanation, because I was supposed to be Heaven's blessed vessel for new life.

Tyron looked down at me with utter contempt, even spat at my feet. Then he swept his gaze across the crowd and announced, in the tone of a judge passing sentence, "I carry the ancient Bloodline. I can see fragments of the future. The moment I touched Seraphina's hand, I saw it, she would birth nothing but lowborn beasts, worthless bloodlines, every single time. So there's no way I'm mating with her. She's a loose woman, unfaithful to her core. Any beastman who takes her is inviting shame into his home."

The alphas exchanged glances, faces full of disbelief.

Then Lily stepped up beside me, shaking her head like she was so disappointed she didn't even know what to say. She pointed at me, her voice dripping with performative heartbreak. "Seraphina, what am I supposed to do with you? Even after the system activated, you still can't change your old ways? Back in the day, you'd flirt with every stray mutt that walked past. How many times did I warn you? A girl needs dignity and restraint. How could you just forget all of that?"

I was about to explode. She was describing herself. I shouted back, "That's not true! I'm nothing like that. They're lying about me!"

But no one listened. Under the combined smear campaign from Tyron and Lily, I was swallowed whole by the mob's fury. They leered at me with revolted looks, hurling insults one after another.

"Wouldn't have guessed it. Looks so clean on the outside, but this dirty behind closed doors."

"What a waste of Heaven's gift. You think we beastmen don't have standards?"

"Since you love to play so much, maybe we'll throw you a beastmen party and you can perform for us in public."

My face went pale. My whole body was trembling. I'd come back for a second life, and the filth was coming at me even faster and harder than before.

And Tyron, the one who started all of this, couldn't care less about how I felt. He walked straight over to my sister Lily, grabbed her hand, and bent down to kiss it. "I may value bloodline," Tyron said, "but I value reputation more. I'll only take a clean, pure woman like Lily as my mate."

Lily looked flattered, her cheeks flushing pink with false modesty. Then she shot me a smug look and said, with meaning dripping from every word, "Dear sister, your turn to choose."

The watching alphas scattered like they were fleeing the plague, leaving a wide berth around me. In the end, only a handful of disgraced, lowlife beastmen remained in front of me.

Their eyes lit up, drool hanging from the corners of their mouths, calling out to me greedily.

"Seraphina, since the decent beastmen won't have you, come home with me."

"Don't let my snake form fool you. I've got skills that put any wolf to shame."

"I run an underground fighting pit. Come to me and I'll give you any kind of man you want."

My stomach churned. Their vile, leering faces were on full display right in front of me.

Even Tyron seemed a little uncomfortable, probably because he still remembered I'd once been his mate. He looked at me with contempt and said coldly, "Seraphina, if you can learn to be a little more restrained, I wouldn't mind taking you back as a servant girl."

Lily didn't like the sound of that at all. She hurriedly urged me, "Seraphina, just pick someone already! What's there to be picky about with a reputation like yours? It's already a miracle that anyone's even willing to take you. Just grab one quick, or you'll lose even that chance."

I ignored her completely. Instead, I lifted my gaze to the distant, towering peak of Fanghold Mountain.

The mate I wanted was up there.

  • Reborn as the Beast Queen   Chapter 12

My mate, Lord Arbiter Kael Stormwind, had finally returned. He came back fast. But he was still too late. The auspicious beast that had freed him from Heaven's punishment, our child, was already dead. My shattered heart twisted in agony once more.Lord Stormwind strode through the gates with the Eastern Guardian and the other gods, their faces full of joy. But what greeted them was a scene of blood and ruin. Lord Stormwind's eyes landed on me, lying in a pool of blood, and on the two dead divine beasts. His divine glow vanished, replaced by a suffocating darkness. His eyes turned crimson with murderous rage.Tyron and Lily quickly stepped forward to block me and the bodies from his view. Tyron demanded, "Who are you? I'm the wolf alpha heir, here to purge the king's palace of an unfaithful queen. Whoever you are, leave now."The moment the words left Tyron's mouth, his elder Odrick dropped to his knees before Lord Stormwind, trembling with terror. "Lord Arbiter, this lowly wolf has sin

Tyron still refused to believe I could give birth to mythical beasts. He looked at Odrick with confusion. "Elder, are you sure? Seraphina gave birth to ancient mythical beasts, back to back?"Odrick glared at him, fury burning in his eyes. "Do you think I'd mistake this? Both of the ones you killed were mythical beasts, and one of them was a chimera, a sign of kingship!"Only then did Tyron start to panic. He turned to me, bewildered. "Seraphina, what's going on here? How did you do this?"I sat slumped on the ground, staring blankly at the dying chimera fetus, my heart dead.Tyron whipped around to Lily, his voice sharp with accusation. "Did you lie to me? Didn't you say Seraphina could only birth lowborn beasts?"Lily stammered, unable to answer. Then she quickly said, "Forget about that for now. What's done is done. We need to clean this up. Before word gets out, kill everyone here and seal the news."Tyron stared at this woman, realizing she was even more ruthless than he'd thought

But even after I said that, Tyron didn't believe me at all. His face twisted with contempt. "Seraphina, have you lost your mind? A dirty woman like you, who spreads her legs for anyone, giving birth to a mythical beast?"He slammed the chimera fetus onto the ground. My heart shattered along with my child. I collapsed to the floor, completely broken.Lily stepped up and kicked the chimera, her face full of smug satisfaction. The little creature let out a pitiful whimper. Across the room, Odrick's body went rigid at the sound.Lily laughed lightly and called out, "Elder Odrick, come take a look. My shameless sister gave birth to a mixed-blood freak."Odrick hurried over and bent down to examine the chimera fetus closely. Then his face went pale. He stumbled back several steps, pointing at the chimera, his voice shaking with terror. "Oh no. This... this really is a chimera pup. We're doomed. We're absolutely doomed."Tyron and Lily exchanged a confused glance, both stunned. Tyron proteste

Soon Tyron was in front of me. He pried my mouth open with a look of pure disgust and started shoving the crushed griffin down my throat.Lily, meanwhile, turned her gaze to my swollen belly. A cruel smile twisted her lips as she pulled out a knife. "You just gave birth and you're already pregnant again. What's in there this time? Let me just cut it out right now so Elder Odrick can see the evidence with his own eyes."She aimed the blade straight at my belly.I struggled with everything I had. This was mine and Lord Stormwind's child, a chimera, a mythical beast. Lord Stormwind was going to announce it to all the realms and name it the new Beast God. I had to protect it.But the more I fought, the more Tyron's disgust deepened. He shoved me to the ground and pinned me down so Lily could work.Lily drove the sharp blade deep into my stomach. I could hear the skin splitting open. Blood gushed out. Tears of despair streamed down my face. I couldn't speak, so I looked at Tyron with nothin

Once inside, they started searching for me immediately. When Tyron saw those disabled beast infants, he assumed they were my children. He started killing them on the spot, hurling insults as he did. "Seraphina is still just as cheap as ever. What a waste of that Litter of Many talent."Lily added with a sneer, "My sister sure is something. It hasn't even been that long since the system activated and she's already popped out this many lowborn beasts."Even Odrick couldn't help but sigh at the sight. "I thought you two were exaggerating. I never imagined a woman this filthy could exist in this world."Soon they broke open the door to the secret chamber and dragged me out. Lily snatched the little griffin from my arms and held it up high, her face alight with triumph. "I told you Seraphina slept with a ratman! Look, she gave birth to a rodent!"Tyron's face darkened. He shot a disgusted glance at the little griffin. Then, just like in my past life, he slammed it onto the ground and crushe

After a night of passion, he held me gently in his arms.I sensed my belly and said to him, "Our child, lion's head, crimson mane like flames, horns on its head, dragon's body behind, four legs."Lord Stormwind froze. "You can sense it that fast?"No sooner had he said that than he shot up in bed. His voice rang with shock. "A chimera. Our child is a chimera, a mythical beast!"I smiled, full of joy. A chimera was a sign of kingship. I said excitedly, "My lord, chimeras have always been born alongside wise rulers. Our child is meant to help you reclaim your former glory and bring order back to the beastman continent."Lord Stormwind nodded firmly. "It's time to take my place again."As he spoke, the black cloak fell away from his body, revealing his full face. He was strikingly handsome, with a golden glow even shimmering around him. He gazed into the distance and said quietly, "A thousand years ago, I descended to this world to observe. I saw the Beast King's cruelty and brutality, an
