Clara slammed the front door so hard the glass rattled in its frame. She threw her designer purse onto the marble floor and kicked off her heels.

The Gala had been a nightmare. She could still see the gold light from Thea’s stupid dress burning in her eyes.

"You’re home late," a voice said from the shadows of the foyer.

Clara jumped, her heart racing. Scott was sitting in a high-backed chair, his face half-hidden in the dark. He looked like he hadn't moved in hours.

"You scared me!" Clara snap

ELIAS’s POV Liam's eyebrows shot up to his hairline. He set his coffee cup down, his joking mood instantly vanishing. "Wait, what? What do you mean you're not having a baby? I thought that was the whole plan for today. You literally spent the last three hours talking my ear off about how excited you were to ask her. Did you chicken out?" "No. I didn't chicken out," I sighed, leaning back in my chair and staring up at the ceiling. "I asked her. I told her I wanted us to take the next step." "And?" Liam prompted, leaning in with genuine curiosity now. "And nothing," I muttered bitterly. "She just looked at me in shock. She went completely silent. You should have seen her face, Liam. She looked like I had just told her the building was on fire. She asked me if I was serious, like the idea of having my child was completely unbelievable to her." Liam frowned, scratching his chin. "Okay, but what did she actually say?" "She said we have too much going on," I explained, feeling t

ELIAS’s POV “A baby?"The words hung in the heavy silence of my office. Her voice was barely above a whisper, filled with a mixture of shock and something else I could not quite figure out.I stood there, my heart pounding hard against my chest. I had played this moment over and over in my head since Liam mentioned it to me. In my imagination, she would smile. Her eyes would light up with that beautiful spark I loved so much, and she would throw her arms around my neck. I had imagined us laughing, holding each other, finally taking that massive step toward a real, permanent future together. But right now, reality was completely different.Thea just stared at me. Her beautiful eyes were wide, completely frozen. She just looked at me as if I had suddenly grown a second head or spoken to her in a completely foreign language. My stomach twisted into a tight, painful knot. The silence was deafening. It stretched on and on, wrapping around my throat and making it hard to breathe. She does

THEA’s POV The sunlight streamed through the tall glass windows of Lawyer Vincent’s private office, casting warm, golden rectangles across the polished wooden floor.I sat comfortably in a leather armchair across from his desk. The room was quiet, filled with the steady, reassuring rustle of crisp paper and the soft tick of a wall clock. Spread out neatly across the glass table between us were the documents that were going to change my life forever: the original, unedited birth certificate signed by my mother, Antoinette; Gloria’s signed and notarized affidavit; and the faded leather journal filled with my mother’s handwriting.Lawyer Vincent adjusted his wire-rimmed glasses, his graying hair neatly combed back. He looked over the final pages of the legal petition with intense focus, his pen gliding smoothly across the margin as he checked every single detail."Everything is in perfect order, Thea," Lawyer Vincent said, looking up at me with a warm, respectful smile. "The evidence i

Back at the Vane Group headquarters, the heavy glass doors of Elias's corner office opened once again. This time, it wasn't an unwelcome visitor. Liam stepped into the room holding a leather folder and a tablet under his arm. He took one look at Elias, who was standing by the large window with his hands shoved deep into his trousers pockets, looking out at the city skyline with a dark, heavy scowl on his face. Liam closed the door firmly behind him, a subtle, amused smirk playing at the corner of his lips. "I saw Serena practically running toward the elevators on my way up," Liam said casually, walking over to the desk and laying his folder down. "She looked like she had just seen a ghost. I take it her surprise visit didn't go the way she planned?" Elias let out a low, tired sigh, turning around to face his best friend. He walked back to his desk and sat down heavily in his leather armchair, rubbing the bridge of his nose with two fingers. "She is utterly delusional," Elias gro

The morning sun filtered brightly through the windows of Elias Vane’s office on the top floor of the Vane Group headquarters.Elias sat behind his desk, a fountain pen held lightly in his hand as he reviewed a stack of legal documents regarding the Sterling family assets. His jacket was unbuttoned, and his necktie was loosened slightly at the collar. His thoughts kept drifting away from the financial reports in front of him, floating back to the quiet text message he had received from Thea just an hour ago. She was preparing her court documents with the Attorney he had linked her up with, and her voice over the phone had sounded lighter than it ever had before.A sudden, sharp knock at his office door broke his concentration. Before Elias could even give permission to enter, the door swung open.A woman stepped into the office, wearing an expensive, tailored white trench coat, dark sunglasses pushed up onto her styled blonde hair, and high heels that clicked loudly against the floor.

Elias walked beside me through the heavy security gates, his presence steady and imposing. The prison guards recognized him immediately, showing us straight through the visitor check-in without asking unnecessary questions. When we reached the private visitation wing, Elias stopped outside the thick iron door leading to the glass partition booths. "I'll be right here," Elias said gently, resting a warm hand on my shoulder. "Take all the time you need." "Thank you, Elias," I said softly. I pushed the heavy door open and stepped inside. The visitation room was cold, quiet, and smelled faintly of floor bleach. A thick, bulletproof glass partition divided the room into two halves, with a small metal speaker grate built into the center and a narrow slot at the bottom for official papers. I sat down calmly on the metal stool on my side of the glass. A minute later, the heavy steel door on the opposite side creaked open. Two armed prison guards escorted a man into the room. It took m

THEA’S POV Elias leaned in until I could feel the ghost of his breath against my lips. He was waiting for me to flinch. "You think you’ve grown claws, Thea," He murmured, his voice dropping to a low, dangerous vibration. "But you’re still in my house. You’re still wearing the ring I bought you. An

THEA’s POV Elias was still leaning over me, his face so close I could see the dark blue flecks in his eyes.I looked at him, and for a split second, I didn't see my husband. I saw a jailer. In my last life, I would have cried. I would have begged him not to say such scary things. But that Thea die

  • Reborn to Ruin Her Husband    First Act of Revenge

THEA’s POV The morning news was a bloodbath. I sat at the long, marble breakfast table, sipping my coffee and watching the television mounted on the wall. The headline scrolling across the bottom made the bitter caffeine taste like nectar: "STERLING ARCHITECTURE DROPS 40% AS MAJOR INVESTORS PULL

  • Reborn to Ruin Her Husband    His House, His Rules

THEA’s POV In my first life, that voice would have made me jump. My father had a way of making me feel like I was five years old and failing a test. I used to spend my allowance buying him expensive watches just to get a "thank you" that never came. "Thea!" My mother’s voice joined in, high-pit
