Malisha bolts upright gasping. Grayson catches her immediately. "Malisha." Her eyes are wide in shock, and her breathing is uneven. Sage is beside her, coughing slightly. Everyone freezes for a second looking at them. They are all in a daze by what has happened. Malisha is still in Grayson's arms shivering. No one speaks for a moment. Not because they do not have questions, but because they have too many. Malisha's hand is gripping Grayson's shirt tight. It is as though she does not realize she grabbed him. Grayson does not move, or pull away. He says nothing. He just holds her steadily. "You are back," he quietly says. Malisha nods slowly. "yeah." But her voice is still slightly off and still strained. Sage pushes himself up from the ground. Not fully steady, but controlled enough. Grayson's head snaps toward him. Just like that, the tension shifts. "You went in." Grayson's tone is low and dangerous. Sage exhales slowly. "Yes.' "You did not tell anyone." "There was no time."

Sage moves before he even realizes that he has. One second, Malisha is standing in front of him with her eyes sharp and filled with determination while breathing hard. The next second, she drops.
