Chapter 60 - Late Night Convos

At Dawn

"Should I go and check on Renee" I ask into the darkness.

"No" Kane says his hold on me getting tighter

"What if she's having a hard time sleeping? This is her first time sleeping without me." I say feeling a little nervous.

"She's fine. Your mother would have let us know if something was wrong." He says and I know it's true but I want to go check on her. "Do you want to go check on her anyway?" He asks knowing I can't take not knowing if she's okay.

"I could just go and peak on them and then come back" I say and I feel his hold loosen.

"Okay." He says and he lets me go completely.

I get out of bed and get dressed quickly.

"I'll be right back," I say kissing him on the cheek. I head out of our bedroom and head to the other side of the house. Kane bought us the perfect house. It has two wings, meaning my mother can live with us but still have her own privacy.
