I have to move on. I am becoming a shadow of myself. I have lost the drive and motive to lead, but I cannot continue like this.

Aria has made her choice and she is no more with me. If I continue this way, I will be ruined, and she would not even know, would not care.

Hiding in my room for days would not solve anything. With a new resolve, I headed to the bathroom to have a long and warm bath, after which I felt refreshed and much better.

I was barely done putting on my clothes when the door creaked open and Prisca walked in.

"Oh, I'm so sorry," she said shyly when she saw that I was dressing up, but did not look away. I wondered why she did not knock in the first place.

"It's fine," I shrugged it off.

She walked into the room slowly and stood a few paces away.

"You said I could ask anything, and you will do it for me," she said, and I raised a brow in remembrance. I had almost forgotten I told her that.
