Noah’s POV

I engulf Pearl into my arms tightly and she didn’t seem to let go, letting out all her tears on my shoulder.

I haven’t cried again since I left dad’s room, where his body was lifeless. I have been soaking up the tears and trying to man up in front of my siblings.

I hear a knock on the door and Pearl pulls out from the hug. “ Come in.” I order whoever was at the door.

“ Can I address you as the Alpha King now? Because I can’t call you by your name.” Mark bows his head slightly and ask.

“ You can call me by my name,” I tell him, as he stares at Pearl whose eyes are all swollen. The ceremony has not been done.

“ Why are you here?” I ask him.

“ I came to inform you that the body has been taken away as you said.” He explains, and I nod at him. I didn’t want to ask him the next question because of Pearl. I wanted to ask if he had decapitated his body, but it won’t be easy for Pearl if she hears that.
