Chapter 121 – The Monster in the Shadows

Nora’s POV

The house was quiet that night, too quiet.

Eron had fallen asleep beside the fireplace, his face pale and weak from days of hard labor. I covered him gently with the torn blanket and sat there for a while, staring at the flames. I should’ve felt free, but instead, the air here felt heavier than the prison walls.

One thing is we are living in the pack house where Selene and Axel are, which sadden me.

Aiden had brought us back to the pack house himself. He didn’t say much on the way, only gave orders , short, sharp, and cold.

His voice alone was enough to silence everyone around him.

Now, even in this grand house, I couldn’t breathe freely.

Every servant that passed bowed deeply, their eyes filled with something between fear and pity. I didn’t know why until later that night , when the door opened, and one of Aiden’s men said quietly,

“The Alpha wants to see you.”

My heart skipped a beat.

“Now?” I asked, standing up quickly.

  • Rejected And Reborn   The Mutual Feeling

Chapter 134 : The mutual Feeling Nora’s POVI shouldn’t have come.I knew it the moment my feet left Mira’s hut. Her words echoed in my mind. “Don’t go back, child. It will only hurt more. You cannot cut a bond by running, but you can weaken it by forgiving — not for him, for yourself.”I told myself I wasn’t going back for him. Not for Axel. I wasn’t going back to face that wolf, that man who had hurt me so badly. I wasn’t going back to the pack that had turned their back on me.But the pull… the pull was stronger than all my anger, stronger than all my pride.Every step I took toward his territory felt like walking on ice. My chest burned, my legs ached, my heart thumped like it wanted to leap out of my body. Every fiber of my being screamed at me to stop, to turn back, to stay safe. But I couldn’t.I had to see him. Just once. Just to know he was alive. The forest whispered around me as I moved, the trees tall and shadowed, the path dim under the pale moonlight. I wrapped my cloa

  • Rejected And Reborn   She misses Him

Chapter 132- She misses Him Nora’s POVIt has been days since I left the pack.Maybe weeks.I stopped counting after the first few nights.Mira’s hut is warm, safe, and quiet — the complete opposite of what my life used to be. She’s kind to me, treats my wounds, feeds me, and tells me to rest. But no matter how much soup she gives me, no matter how much I sleep, my chest still hurts.I tell myself I’m fine.I tell myself I’m free. But sometimes… it feels like I left half of myself behind. At night, when the moonlight slips through the cracks of the window, I hear his voice. Soft, broken, calling my name.“Nora…”It sounds so real that I often wake up, gasping, my hand clutching my chest. My heart burns as if someone has tied a rope around it and keeps pulling, pulling, pulling…I whisper to myself, “It’s just the bond. It’s not real.”But it feels real. Too real.Mira always knows when the pain comes. She sits beside me, her wrinkled hand resting gently on mine.“Still feeling it?” s

  • Rejected And Reborn   It Hurt

Chapter 132 - It HurtAxel’s POVDays have passed since she left…but to me, it feels like years. The packhouse is quiet now. Too quiet. No laughter, no footsteps, no soft humming from the servant quarters.Only silence — heavy, painful silence that eats me from the inside.I sit on the floor of my room, surrounded by shattered glass and torn curtains. I don’t even remember when I destroyed them. Maybe last night. Maybe the night before. Time doesn’t make sense anymore.I haven’t eaten. I haven’t slept. Every time I close my eyes, I see her face — the way she looked at me before she left. Those eyes… filled with pain and disbelief. She said she didn’t want me.That she didn’t care anymore. But I do.Gods, I do.I thought I could live without her. I thought pushing her away would make everything easier. But now… every breath feels like punishment. The food they bring me sits untouched. The bed feels like a stranger’s place. The mirror shows a man I no longer recognize — hollow eyes, me

  • Rejected And Reborn   Bond

Chapter-131 - The BondNora’s POVWhen I opened my eyes, the first thing I saw was the ceiling made of rough wood. The smell of herbs filled the air. My body felt heavy, my throat dry, and my lips cracked. For a moment, I didn’t remember where I was… until the memories came rushing back — Axel’s face, his tears, his voice breaking as I walked away.I squeezed my eyes shut. No. I didn’t want to remember. The door creaked open, and an old woman walked in, holding a bowl of steaming soup. Her hair was silver, tied into a neat bun, and her eyes were calm — too calm for someone who lived alone in the middle of nowhere.“You’re awake,” she said softly. “Don’t try to move too much. You were nearly frozen when I found you by the riverbank.”She set the bowl beside me and helped me sit up. Her touch was gentle but firm, like she’d done this many times before.I tried to speak, but only a whisper came out. “Where… am I?”“My hut,” she said. “Name’s Mira. You’ve been sleeping for three days.”T

  • Rejected And Reborn   The Pull I Can’t Escape

Chapter 130 : The Pull I Can’t EscapeHer POVThe forest was quiet. Too quiet. The only sound I could hear was the rustle of dry leaves under my bare feet and the soft whisper of the wind that brushed against my face. My body felt heavy, my legs trembling with every step I took, but I didn’t stop. I couldn’t.I didn’t even know where I was going anymore. I just wanted to keep walking , far away from the pack house, far away from him. From everything. The cold bit into my skin. My clothes were still damp from the river, and each gust of wind made me shiver. My stomach twisted painfully, but hunger didn’t matter. Pain didn’t matter. Nothing mattered anymore.“I’m free now,” I whispered to myself, my voice breaking in the quiet night. “I’m free…”But the words felt hollow. Empty. If freedom meant being alone, starving, and lost, then why did my heart ache so much? Why did every step feel like I was walking away from something that still held a piece of me?I stumbled, catching myself aga

  • Rejected And Reborn   It’s Wrong

Chapter 129 - It’s wrong Axel’s POVThe moment Nora walked out, something inside me broke. The room felt colder. The air felt heavier. Even my heartbeat sounded wrong , empty, slow, painful.I stood there, frozen, staring at the door she used to leave. I wanted to run after her, to fall on my knees and beg, but my legs refused to move. My wolf howled inside me, crying her name again and again.“Nora… please don’t go…”But she was gone.I walked around the room like a ghost. Her scent still lingered in the air — soft, warm, and sweet, just like her. It only made things worse. I pressed my hands to my chest, trying to breathe, but it hurt too much. How could she leave me like this? How could I have pushed her so far that leaving was her only choice?I sat on the floor beside the bed she used to sleep on. My hand brushed against the blanket — still warm. I picked it up and held it close to my face. I could almost imagine her voice, her laughter, the way she looked at me when she thought
