LOGINAlpha Kael's POV
Aria has no idea that Maria told me about the altercation with Omari. I never liked the way he treated Omegas in his pack as filth.
I need to get his filthy claws far from my mate.
“That would be all,” I say. The piercing silence is replaced with a chorus of “Yes Alpha.”
“Meet me in my office after breakfast,” I mindlink my Beta, Aldin.
“Yes, Alpha,” He replies. His usual playful demeanour is replaced by a serious one. He knows when I mean business and is an extremely efficient Beta, though I won't tell him that to his face.
“Can I see you later, Babe,” Jessica's high pitched voice fills my mind.
“No, and if you value your position in the pack you will keep your distance.”
Thankfully, I am able to enjoy the rest of my breakfast in peace.

A loud knock distracts me from the stack of papers I am working on, on my office table.
“Come in.” I say in response and my Beta pushes the door strolling in as if he owns the place.
“You asked me to come, Alpha, is anything wrong?” He gives me a curious gaze.
“Yes, I'd like you to keep an eye on Omari, he seems to be bullying pack members.” Aldin's eyes widen in shock, “His entire presence irks me,” I finish.
“You've never been a huge fan of his since when we were kids,” Aldin finally says. “He gives me the creeps, like there's something wrong about him.”
“Same old friend, please do me this favour, the safety of my mate is at stake here,” I say my voice laced with worry.
“Yes, Alpha,” he then gives me an intense gaze, “What's your take on the Luna Trials?”
“It'll hold in a month's time, I wish there was a way around it but this is needed,” I answer.
“She has done something to you,” Aldin says. “You were never like this, not even with Margaret.”
To my surprise my wolf Alec, who has barely said much since Margaret's death, grunts in response. “I've never felt this sort of strong bond with our first mate,” Alec states at the back of my mind, “I can even feel her emotions, though we are yet to mark her.” He then goes silent.
“Is that Alec?” My Beta asks.
“Yes, it is”
“What a pleasant surprise, anyways don't you think announcing her officially as your Luna will protect her within the pack at least.”
“I thought about that but I need to place certain things in order, so that it wouldn't backfire especially now that the rogues are gaining ground in most packs.” I say.
“Alright that's okay, I'll do as you've said but keep in mind that Jessica is spreading rumors that is creating a bad reputation for your mate.”
“I'll do something about it, how are the preparations for tonight?” I ask with a curious gaze.
A smile plays on his lips, “You know how our she-wolves enjoy events, so far they've been running everything smoothly.”
I release a chuckle, “Well, that'll be all then.”
“Have fun, princess,” he teases, getting up and walking out. My eyes go back to the paperwork in front of me.
“Alpha Omari, are you here to see the Alpha?” Aldin's once teasing tone turns cold.
“Yes,” Omari answers in a clipped tone.
Aldin assesses him for a while then asks though the mindlink, “Should I let him in, Alpha?”
“Yes.”
“You know I'll gladly get rid of him,” He says in a dark tone.
“Let him in, Aldin.”
He gives him one last look before stepping aside so he can come through. Aldin then shuts the door but I can still feel his presence close, he hasn't left yet.
Omari reaches my desk, “Have a seat.” He then plops on the chair in front of me.
“How may I help you, Alpha?” I ask with a stern voice.
“I didn't think you would agree to my opinion on merging the packs, you were not too keen to accept.”
A scowl appears on my face, how dare he!!!
“So what's your point, Omari?” I say dropping any form of courtesy.
“Is it because of your latest side piece, Aria?” He taunts, “I never thought you would stoop so low and sleep with a low-life……
My canines and snout protrude almost instantly and my fingers and nails elongate in seconds. My fingers wrap tightly around his throat, slamming his back against the wall repeatedly. My eyes are seeing red, no one dares to insult my mate. I have been patient enough with this low life.
“You will respect her, I never want to hear her name come out from your filthy mouth, else you'll lose your head,” Alec speaks with a deep, authoritative voice. Rage pulses in my veins.
His attempts to pull me off are futile, he is strong even for an Alpha. But, I'm a Lycan from one of the original bloodlines, he doesn't stand a chance.
The door bursts open and I sense my Beta behind me.
“Alpha, he's not worth it,” he mutters soothingly, aiming to calm me down.
I let out a grunt and apply more pressure, no one disrespects my mate.
“Please, Kael, Aria won't like to see you like this.”
I freeze completely, taking back a bit of control from Alec.
“You called her here?” I ask in annoyance, still partially shifted.
“Kael, what's wrong are you okay?” My mate's ethereal voice fills my ears. She peeps into the office.
“Get him out of my sight,” I ordered. I barely paid attention to him picking up the barely conscious Omari.
My eyes meet hers, I'm so certain she'll make a run for it. She always makes me feel like I'm the best thing to look at. Even now she approaches me slowly with parted lips. I'm yet to tell if it is admiration or fear.
Her fingers graze my face, the scars I have in my human form are also visible in my Lycan form.
My wolf whines at her touch, she then lets out an adorable giggle. “You're so adorable,” She finishes.
Did I hear her right? I'm pretty sure I look almost feral. My eyes turn red when I'm raging.
My lips stretch in a smile, “You're the best thing that has happened to me, mate.”
“I'm sorry I lost it, he was spewing nonsense.”
“It's Omari we're talking about, he spews nonsense a lot.” She has a glint in her eyes. “I was more worried about you when Martha said you were in trouble.”
“Someone has fallen hopelessly for me,” I tease with mischief. A red hue floods her cheeks.
“I need to go now, and get ready for tonight,” She says in a bid to leave.
Her presence has calmed me down and I've shifted back to my human form.
I wrap my arms tightly around her waist, pulling her closer to me.
“I'd like to announce you as my Luna to the pack tonight.”
Alicia's POVI woke up feeling so tired and my throat hurt so badly. Where am I? I looked around and it seemed like I'm at the infirmary.“Hello.” I tried to say out loud but my voice was gone. I saw the red alarm button close to me and pressed against it. After a few seconds the door was pushed open.“Hi there, Alicia. How are you feeling?” Dr. Klassen walked up to me with a smile on his face.“My throat.” I croaked and held it because it hurt so badly to speak. He walked to the fridge at the side and took out some ice then placed it in a glass cup. He poured some water into it and helped me sit up then placed it on my lips. I drank it and felt a whole lot better. He got more water for me.“Thank you, I feel a bit better than before. What am I doing here?” I asked him then the memories of that night came flooding in my mind. “Do you really not remember?”“I do now. Where is he?”“He is in the pack cells. You are safe from now on.”“I don't want him there. I want him back home with
Kael’s POVI can barely sleep for so long. Margaret is pregnant and so is Aria. I never thought this would be me. Even my father, who was horrible, didn't do this.“Hey man.” I heard Gad’s voice behind me.“What's up?”“Well, there is a bit of an issue. The Lycan, Shaw, just placed Omari in bad condition.”“What happened?”“Omari was assaulting his mate, Alicia. I was never aware that he got physical with her. She was rushed to the infirmary and it was confirmed that there are old wounds all over her body.”“What? No one is allowed to do that here. Don't allow him to go to the infirmary. Take him to the cells and he'll be fine.”“I thought as much, I just wanted to confirm with you. When he's awake, tell me. I want the bastard to know that, that is not how things are done here.”“No problem. I think he has always been like this. His pack was notorious for hurting people intentionally, especially women. We might need to carry out an orientation and use him as an example.”“I think you'
Dona’s POVThere are so many things occurring in the pack that's doesn't sit right with me. One thing I'm certain of though is that the pack won't let Aria to face this alone.I felt strong arms wrapped around me. “What are you thinking so deeply about, love?” Shaw's voice filled my ears.“I am just worried for Aria. Kael might be doing something that would cost him his new family. Imagine what their child would grow to see, gosh, I'm so disappointed in him.”“As we all are. I don't know why Margaret makes me so uneasy. It's like I can feel that something isn't right, but I can't tell what exactly.”“I've tried to tail her but she is so smart. She has been able to stay away from me, even when I try to follow her, she covers her scent.”“Why would anyone do that within pack grounds? So far there have been no attacks on the pack yet.” He said thoughtfully.“I know, that's what has raised my suspicion. I'm trying so hard to make sure that I don't overthink.”“I know but let's keep our ey
Rewa’s POVI have been avoiding the vampire that is supposed to be my mate. How can I get over my mate and be with him? I sat in the peaceful garden.“I see you've been running away from me.” I heard his baritone voice behind me which made me freeze for a second.“I didn't say I wanted to talk to yet.”“I'm not going to continue giving you the space. It's killing me that my mate is right before me but she doesn't want to even acknowledge me.” He sat beside me but not too close to me.“I don't want to talk to you right now.”“Don't you want to know my name, mate?”“I don't want to know your name. I'm not interested in knowing that. I just want to be left alone.”“I won't leave you alone.”“You will leave me or else I will reject you.” “If you wanted to do that you would have done that since. But you haven't, I feel like something is keeping you from accepting me.”“It is none of your business. I need you to leave, please.”He just kept staring at me quietly. “Can you put yourself in
Luna Averie’s POVI am beginning to regret Xavier knowing about my existence. He has been like a shadow always following me around. I give him an attitude but it doesn't keep him away.“Why can't you just get the memo and leave me alone!” I screamed at him as I was walking to the woods to have sometime for myself.“I will not leave you alone. I want you to go on a date with me. If you accept, I'll leave you for the whole day.”“I won't go on a date with you.” I folded my hands and stopped in my tracks. He then gave me a side smile. “I won't leave you then.”I really needed some space to think. The last thing I needed was his disturbance. “If I tell you yes on one date, would you leave me?”“Yes, I would. Then we can have our date, tomorrow. I'll come and get you by five o'clock, we are going for a picnic together.” He has a wide smile on his face.“Fine, we can have one date, tomorrow. But that's it, no funny business.”“You won't regret it.” He said all giddy and skipped away.I shoo
Margaret's POVI fumed as I walked out of the dining room. This did not go as planned and things were not supposed to turn out this way. I can't believe that she got pregnant before me.Once I reached my room and stepped inside, I was pushed inside and someone followed me. I turned to fight back when I realized that it was just Omari.“What do you want?” I asked him with an attitude. I went back to the door and checked to make sure that no one saw him entering my room. “I missed being inside you. It has been so long.” He tried to pull me to himself but I shoved him off.“You don't know what you're doing. Do you know how bad it would be for us if we're caught? I just announced that I was pregnant for Kael.” I was already getting irritated. He rolled his eyes and had a look on his face. “Is that baby mine?” “Are you mad? It can never be yours. It belongs to someone who is actually of Alpha blood. I can never carry your child.”“We slept together and suddenly you're pregnant. The timin
Aria's POV “How….how did you know that?” Adeth stuttered looking rather pale.I took a deep breath, sitting on the grassy ground. I tapped beside me, motioning them all to take seat.“Kael and I had a conversation and it would seem that Roman is already able to sense you as his mate. You know he t
Aria's POV “You said you wouldn't panic. You broke it.” He grumbled in my ears. “Well I was definitely not expecting that, but they're both seventeen how is that even possible?”“The Thortons have a blessing in their lineage where they know their mates from age seventeen. So he knows she is his m
Aria's POV Just when I shut my eyes thinking I would fall out of the circle an arm held on to me tight and pulled me back in. I looked up and saw the mouthy red head. I peered around and noticed that she just kicked my assailant out of the circle. Surprisingly, we were in the same group.“Thank y
Anita's POV“How are you doing my baby girl, I've missed you so much.” My father, popularly known as Council Member Morris, asked through the mindlink.“I'm good, Dad. I've missed you so much more.” I was staring at myself in the mirror, I looked really good. Martha had worked her magic on my face
