LOGINAria's POV
“Yes, you can join in tomorrow, Kitten”, Kael says with a reassuring smile to my surprise.
A loud squeal escapes my lips, this will be so exciting. It's my first step to cementing my claim of being his Luna. I need this really bad, the fact that no one knows about my abilities gives me an upper hand.
The waiter walks in with our order, and places it on our table.
“You won't regret this, I promise”, I mutter in excitement as I dig into the food savouring the explosive bursts of spices in my mouth.
“I'd do anything to make you happy”, he replies with a glint in his eyes.
We finish our dinner making small talk and head to the car. I lay my head on the window and pass out from exhaustion.
“....tten, Kitten”, a faint voice echoes in my ears, someone shakes me awake.
“Mmmmmm?” I say, rubbing my eyes to clear any sign of sleep.
“We are home, can I carry you to your room?” He asks.
“Yes please, my feet hurt from the heels”, I answer with a groggy voice.
“I was only trying to be civil but you're in no shape to walk”, he states picking me up gently with ease, walking towards the pack house.
This baby treatment is making me feel like numerous butterflies are flying all over my belly. I didn't think he'd actually do it, I'm definitely not used to being treated well.
“Is she okay?” I hear Martha's sweet voice asking my mate about me.
“Shhh” He shushes her, “She's fine but sleepy.”
He pushes a door open and lays me gently on the bed, kissing me softly on the forehead. I quickly fell deep asleep again.
***
I pry my eyes open as the rays of sunlight hit me. I feel almost suffocated…
Ooops!!! I didn't change my dress yesterday, I had slept off. A soft smile appeared on my lips, he didn't undress me and that means so much I'd like to take everything slow.
“Get up, lazy bum we'll be late for training” Martha hollered right outside my door.
“Give me a minute”, I answer with a loud voice.
I fling my duvet aside racing towards the bathroom in a hurry. In about ten minutes I was set for training. With my tank top, biker shorts and hair pulled in a ponytail.
“Are you done yet?” Martha asks just in time as I pull the door open.
“Remind me to refuse going anywhere with you, jeez”, I say with a glint in my eyes.
“Whatever”, she says, pulling my arm so I can catch up with her.
We walk past the hallways heading towards the back door so we can reach the training grounds faster since we're running late. We bump into someone.
“Watch where you're headed, runt”, Omari's baritone voice echoes in my ears.
The years of harsh words and abuse flood my thoughts. I take in a sharp breath and freeze waiting for the hit to come but it never did.
“You'd do well to treat pack members with respect”, Martha says in a firm voice standing between us.
He grits his teeth in irritation and gives her a long stare.
“And if I don't hmmmmm?” He replies, “What are you going to do about it? Filthy Omega.”
“Well maybe there's nothing I can do about it”, Martha utters firmly, “But there is a lot that Alpha Kael can do, I'm pretty sure you wouldn't want to get on his bad side.”
She pulls me by the arm towards the back door. Omari snickers “It's a shame that you're so easy”.
We ignore him and head to the canopy of trees between the pack house and the training grounds. She then pulls me into a bear hug as I break down completely.
“It's okay, I'm here”, Martha coos in my ears, “I didn't know your pack treated Omegas this bad.”
“It's a...always been like that, I t…thought I was over it but..”, Fat tears flow freely down my cheeks and my shoulders shakes uncontrollably. No other words come out. I am careful not to mention the matter of my rejection.
“It is okay, we'll talk when you feel better, okay?”
Martha is silent for a short while and her eyes glaze over for some moments then she stares at me with a smile.
Her back suddenly goes stiff, my mate's deep, soothing voice fills my ears.
“What's wrong, Kitten, I felt a strain on the bond” Kael mentions sounding worried.
“I'll be at the training grounds, Ari, love you”, Martha says with a soothing voice, letting go of my arms and heading towards the training grounds.
“Tell me what made you cry, Aria, I will fix it”, Kael says soothingly.
“Old memories, Kael, I've had my own fair share of pain”, I mutter, not saying the whole truth.
“Do you mind telling me exactly what made you remember”, Kael pulls me by the waist close to him, wiping the tears from my eyes.
“I think I'm just overwhelmed, so many things are happening at the same time, especially anytime I see the members of my pack that used to treat me like an outcast”, I mutter staring at the grassy forest floor so he wouldn't catch up with my white lie.
A guttural sound escapes his lips, I stare at his dark eyes in shock. It seems like his wolf is finally out.
“Hmmmmmm, I'll fix everything soon, mate”, he says with an unusually deep authoritative voice, cuddling me close.
“How will you do that, I'm fine, promise”, I say a little too fast, giving his thick arms a firm grip.
I hope Martha didn't tell him exactly what happened earlier. In a moment I get lost in his eyes as his fingers graze my lips repeatedly then he pulls back abruptly.
“The things you do to me, mate, but I know you're far from ready and this isn't the right time", He says.
“I have an important announcement to make, it's a surprise though”, he finishes with a smile.
He sits on the ground and pulls me between his thighs against his body. We stay in comfortable silence listening to the morning birds chirping noisily high up in the trees.
“It's about time for breakfast I'm guessing, would you like to join me?” I ask with a faint smile after a while.
“Sure, you know I'd never say no to you, Kitten.”
We head back to the pack house, hand in hand. Loud noise and boisterous laughter filled the air, they must be done with training.
As we step into the house, the noise ceases completely. Most of his pack members stare at us with curiosity but my pack stare with disgust.
Well sucks to be them, they all made my life a living hell in Blood Moon, so I will bask in their displeasure. I'm pretty certain they think I'm unworthy to be next to him even as a mistress. I laugh out loud in my head as we walk to the head of the table.
“Have a sit, Kitten”, Kael whispers in my ears.
I blush at his actions and shyly take a seat. My ears peer around in search of Martha.
“I'd like to make an announcement”, Kael's deep loud voice vibrates across the large kitchen, distracting me from my search.
“The members of the Blood Moon pack will now be officially joining the Cantara Pack later tonight.”
Kael's POVI sat beside my mate's hospital bed and waited for her to wake up. Her hair has remained white and even her eyes when I took a peak.Dr. Klassen has earlier said that she just pushed herself to the limit and needed rest. She would be up when her body healed. There was a knock on the door. “Come inside.”The door was pushed open and Elora came in then several others too. Including Martha, Gad, Anita, Beta Anderson, Roman, Adeth, Luna Stephanie, her mate, Luna Averie and Xavier.“How is she?” Elora asked and I just sighed.“She is good, I guess but still unconscious.”“I needed to tell her something, but I might just tell you first.”“What is it?”’“You know that the Therians were mostly a thing of folklore and myth. The last we heard of them was that they had gone extinct. But that was not it, they are in our world in hiding because they are haunted for their many gifts. I helped some sisters and they were all Therians. Aria’s mother, Stephanie, Averie and Adeth's mother. Tw
Kael's POVShaw came beside me and was fighting alongside me. “You seemed to have a lot on your plate and I thought to help.” He said and gave me a grin.“Thank you, he is making it almost impossible to get to him.”“We will definitely get to him. It's just time.” We stood out backs facing each other and the rogues were being torn apart on all sides. I couldn't see my mate anymore and that frightened me.The rogues kept multiplying, we had to start fighting side by side. A large body then jumped in front of me and we both fell to the ground. I stood up immediately and realised that Shaw had a large silver arrow in his chest. “I…I.” He tried to speak but he looked to be in so much pain. I then noticed that spells were thrown at the rogues surrounding us and they had to back off. Dona materialized above us, she looked to be in a state of rage. The wound was fatal but I tried to pull the arrow. “Don't bother. I know that I'm dying, just take care of my daughter.”“What do you mean?” I
Aria's POVI felt the cold solve blade sink in then something yanked me off Margaret. I smelled death.“What? This can't be. Why would the vampire accept to help you?” Margaret said, I couldn't see her though.I felt myself being dropped in Kael's arms. “Please forgive me, darling. I would never do something so stupid again. Please, forgive me. Don't die on me.”I rolled my eyes because I'm sure he has forgotten something crucial. I shoved myself off him and stood to my feet shakily.“It's funny how you think that you can easily get rid of me. I forgot to tell you something important though.” I said, fading them. Everyone was shocked because such a lethal wound by a silver knife should put me in bad shape.I called on my wolf, Willow. “Please, I know you're not too strong but I need you now. We must fight this fight too.” I partially shifted and my nails elongated and were silver coated.“A sliver-blooded wolf!”“She's not just a white wolf!”“She is really more powerful than we thou
Thane's POVI have made up my mind to execute that bastard's child. I never knew that she would belong to Shaw. It would seem like even his offspring has chosen to be a thorn in my flesh.I heard a knock on the door and turned towards it. “Come in.”The door was pushed open and it was my son, O’Brien. I rolled my eyes at the look on his face.“What do you want this time?” I continued to go through the documents on the table. “Must we continue these senseless killings? That's all I've known, Dad. Can't we end this and leave?”“I wish I had killed you as a baby, you are nothing like me. You're just a coward unlike your sister. I sent you to that pack to be useful to me but you turned out seeing them as family. I told you what I want, you turned your back on me.”“I never turned my back on you, Dad. I would never do that to you. You mean too much to me for that to happen. I just hate what we are doing. Can't we leave already?” He looked like it was urgent.“What have you done?” I rushed
Cassia's POVAldin has just informed us to stand by the pack borders to avoid any unnecessary altercations because of the vampires in our midst.Jessica looked very nervous. I gave her a glance. “Are you okay?”“Nope, I don't know if they'll accept me. I'm not how I used to be, I smell like death.”I gave her another glance and understood her plight. The vampires and werewolves have had a long standing feud and she might be met with some hostility. I don't know how this pack behaves though.“Even if they don't want you here, we do. Just know that you're not alone.”“I hurt a lot of people too. I was a horrible person, so there's just a lot of reasons why they would hate me.”“I am here with you. You mean a lot to me, darling.” Rafailo said a little too loudly. He held her hands in his and we saw a group approach us. I didn't recognise any of them but one particular woman caught my eye.“Hi, Elora. I'm so glad to see you.” Jessica walked to her and gave her a woman.I just hope this is
Elora's POVI got back to Kael's pack feeling so heavy. I know that war is coming, and it is taking a toll on me. I don't know what is coming, I've tried to see into the future but there's nothing.“El, are you okay?” Adeth, approached me.“I'm not, I just feel like something isn't right within the pack. Something is gravely wrong.”“Is it probably because Aria isn't here? Since after she was taken there was this darkness looming.”“That is probably right but there's much more. It's fine, we'll see what will come. How are you?” I asked her, raising an eyebrow at her.“I'm fine, just worried about everything happening.”“I think that you should go and see that doctor. I feel like you should get tested. Are you eighteen yet?”She looked confused at first. “Yes, I turned eighteen some months ago.”I sighed in relief at this. "In fact I think we should head there now.”“The infirmary?”“Yes, let's go.”I led the way and we walked quietly. I could tell that she was scared. But it was actua
Aria's POVI stood by the mirror and remembered the dream I had yesterday. “Who was the little girl?” I asked myself. The room was empty and had no one in it. I guess Kael has gone for morning training sessions. I miss him already, we had a long night in each other's arms.“Girl, come out, let's t
Dona’s POVShaw quickly turned around at lightning speed and I wrapped the towel around me better. I feel so embarrassed that he saw me like this.“Get out! You're such a perv. What the hell are you doing in my room?”“How in the world am I supposed to know that you chose this room?”“You should ha
Kael's POV “Babe, Adeth just informed me that Emma is awake.” Aria said from beneath me.“Jeez, you feel so warm. Come, let's go together.”I pulled myself from above her and sat on the bed.“Okay, let's go. Thank God that I didn't take my clothes off earlier.”I threw me a mischievous smile. “You
Alicia's POV My time is ticking and I need to do something fast. I just got out of solitary confinement and Thane has a job for me already. The pack has been too quiet for long and Thane seems hell bent on causing issues.I was able to pay some of the warriors on patrol today to create a gap at th
