If confusion was a human, then it would definitely be me. I stared at Mom Kayla, totally confused as to why she would say such a thing.

"Why?" Mason asked the same question I was tempted to ask.

"She knows why." Mom Kayla said and I became confused once again. Did I know why?

"Me?" I asked Mom Kayla, not wanting confusion to disrupt my mental health. "How?" Mason shot another dark look at me, as if not believing that I also didn't know what mom Kayla meant by me knowing why.

"Your admission, remember?" Mom Kayla said and I remembered.

"Oh!" I exclaimed, it was true, I had gotten admission to a university in the city.

"You got admission?" Mason asked and I nodded.

"Yeah." I replied him. Now that I had gotten admission and would also be moving to the city with him, would he now see me as a city girl?

"Which school?" He asked, quite amused as if not still believing.

"Everest University." I said feeling so proud of myself, that was when I caught something, a smile—a genuine sm
