I smiled in satisfaction when Nathan backed away in shock.

“What do you have to say about that, Nathan?” I swerved around and trod back to the window.

“I…I…it’s not possible!” He stuttered, sighing loudly.

“Do you want to see it yourself then?” I asked, not looking at him.

“Well…that won’t solve the problem,” he replied and I turned sharply.

“Really?” I arched my brows in anger and I saw his muscles tense under the brown jacket.

Silence broke out between us as we stood staring at each other, I in authority and he, in confusion.

“Can you ever betray me?” my voice pierced through the veil of silence between us and he looked into my eyes. He parted his lips to reply but shut them again and looked away.

“No, why will I?” he said, staring at the plain wall.
