Chapter 4

A cover of Time After Time is playing on the radio as I clean the tables inside my bar. It's late into lunchtime, there are barely any customers inside, which makes it the perfect time to clean.

I spray a table with a good amount of Ajax and rub it with a washcloth at a stubborn spot until I hear a deep chuckle behind me. My initial response is to jump a mile before turning around to frown.

Logan.

What a lovely surprise...

I've been ignoring Logan's calls all weekend, and now he is here, standing inside my bar on a Monday while wearing casual clothing and still managing to look as handsome as the devil himself.

I shoot him a look over the table, forgetting the world as I get lost in the outlines of his vast muscles visible through his grey hoodie. The cloth is hugging him tightly, drawing my attention to his corded arms trying to bust through the material. Did he intentionally buy the wrong size? I take him in under a few silent seconds, appreciating him until he takes it as an invitation to approach me.

"Hello Elena," His voice sounds amused.

"Logan..." I could not sound more appalled if I tried. Still, I plaster a smile on my face to appear friendly. "To what do I owe the pleasure?"

Logan meets my smile—I want to taste his lips, see how it feels to kiss his visible philtrum. But of course, I never will. I hate this man, and the only place where he would put his hands on me would be in my pitiful dreams. I seriously hate myself for wanting to rub against him like a cat and murder him at the same time.

"Elena, Elena, as friendly as always..." His lips twitch when he says my name as if it makes him happy saying it. "And I felt the need to come here since you never answered any of my calls."

"I've been busy."

He arches a bushy eyebrow, and I get nervous under his stare, especially when his gaze falls to my lips. "Too busy to answer one of my many calls? You could have texted me. Don't tell me you have changed your mind about performing at my wedding?"

Something about how Logan looks at me intimidates me and forces me to take a seat in the cushioned booth. "O-Of course not!" I don't sound very convincing, not even to myself.

Logan follows suit. He pulls out a chair and parks his elbows on the table with a smile on his face.

"My plan had been to tell you over the phone what theme we were going to run at the wedding and then suggest a few songs that I thought you could sing."

I resist the urge to grimace. "I see..."

"But since I'm here, maybe you want to look at a few photos to get a better idea of what type of wedding it will be?"

"Sure..." I'm a chatterbox today, aren't I? One glance up into Logan's face is enough to render me speechless and uncomfortable since I'm so attracted to this asshole.

"You're so talkative," Logan jokes while fishing up his phone. "This is the style we are going for, non-tacky and original. A nighttime wedding that looks like something taken out from a Disney movie."

He pushes over his iPhone to my side of the table, leaving me staring down at a picture of beautiful lights hanging down from a tree. It looks like a scene taken out from a fairy tale; even the chairs are draped with vines and roses.

I'm rendered speechless, possibly not even breathing as I stare down at the picture. Every ounce of hatred has left my body and been replaced with admiration instead. I never took Logan for a wedding planner, but all of these pictures are gorgeous.

"Everything is so beautiful...." I breathe. "Anyone who goes to this wedding will remember it."

Logan smiles when I lift my eyes to his blue, and he carefully reaches out his hand to scroll to another picture—I see lanterns, items made of carved wood, and white flaked birdcages that look antique.

"Do you think my future wife will like it?" Logan asks. "Melodie told me what she wanted, but I'm the one making everything happen."

I beam up at Logan, unable to hold back my emotions. These pictures are all so wonderful. I'm jealous. "I think Melodie is the luckiest woman in the world. Her groom cares about her deeply enough to make the wedding from her dreams come true."

"You think so?"

My chest constricts before I speak. A part of me doesn't want to give Logan up. Handing him over to Melodie is a loss, yet I don't allow myself to fall into bitterness. Honesty is the only way forward; even if I hate this man, there are many ways to get my revenge other than stealing him away from the bride.

"I know so," I'm still smiling radiantly. Even though I want revenge on Logan, I lack the will after seeing these pictures. I have a soft spot for men who aren't ashamed to show how crazy they are about a person, so it will take some time to get back that fire. "Men who care about their weddings turning out perfect are rare to find."

Logan looks bewildered by my answer. An uncharacteristic emotion flashes in his eyes—I've never seen Logan look so surprised and confused at the same time before, but the expression is gone as soon as it appeared.

"I need to visit the bathroom," He says without meeting my eyes, and even though I think it's rather sudden, I just point at a door further down the eating area.

"The toilets are right there," I tell him.

Logan stands up to his over six feet of height. "Thank you," He says and passes me a brief smile; it looks strained. Logan really doesn't look happy—if anything, he appears torn. "You can swipe a bit on my phone; there are more photos in there that I would like you to look at."

"Okay," I smile up at him, aware of Logan's paling face. Maybe he is not feeling well or something. "Take your time."

Logan smiles shortly. "I will be right back."

Sighing, I return to look down at his phone. I swipe to the right with my finger, snorting when a picture of Logan wearing a silly hat comes into view. I'm past the wedding photos by now, yet I keep on dragging my finger, which turns out to be a huge mistake.

A picture of Logan planting a kiss on a beautiful woman's cheek drains the air out of my lungs, and a burning sensation swirls inside my chest. I quickly try to swipe to the right to look at something else, almost choking when a glorious cock takes over the entire screen.

Holy shit...!

I shouldn't be looking, but damn, my eyes are already glancing down at the python as sweat tracks down my back.

Logan's glorious cock is staring at me, and his veiny hands holding the thick and magnificent thing are definitely showing off the expensive watch on his muscular arm. He is so sexy.

"Fuck me..."

My insides churn in response to my words, I'm already so incredibly wet for this man, and it gets worse as I stare down at the perfect, rounded crown leaking precum. Water is already accumulating in my mouth as I gawk at his incredibly sculpted V line and his blonde hairs forming a pathway to his crotch.

I'm so hypnotized by the picture that I only look up when a chair by my table gets pulled out. I lift my head and freak out when I notice Logan staring down at his phone with a face empty of emotion.

"Hi..." My voice comes out strained. "I-I didn't mean to... Uh... I mean..."

Shit, how do I get out of this situation?

Logan looks at me intently, his lips twitching. "You're really full of surprises, Elena. I never would have guessed the cold woman deliberately missing my phone calls actually had the hots for me."

My cheeks heat up in embarrassment. There is also irritation flaring within me seeing Logan look so self-satisfied. "I don't have the hots for you!"

"Is that why you were staring at my dick for at least five minutes with drool dropping from your lips?"

"I wasn't staring for five minutes!" I exclaim.

"Really? Because I've been standing right next to the table for quite some time now and you were so caught up that you didn't even notice me."

I'm mortified. It feels like the world is coming down on me. "Uh... I can explain..."

Logan lifts his eyebrows with a hint of a smirk. "Please do."

I swallow thickly. "I was swiping right, and then after the wedding pictures, I kinda..." What do I tell him? That I was curious, so I continued looking through his private photos?

Logan nods his head. "So you're a snooper?"

I hold up my hands in surrender, feeling as guilty as charged. "I wasn't looking for those types of pictures! I swear!"

Logan starts to crack up when he sees me staring up into his face like a deer caught in headlights. "Right," His lips are glittering with an amused smile. He leans forward and whispers playfully. "So, how was it?"

I blink. "What?"

Another laugh leaves those delicious lips. "My cock, Elena." His voice has turned low. He sounds like sex. "Did you like it? Be honest, and I might let you off the hook."

I stare at him with my mouth hanging open, and Logan cracks up for the second time. The table wobbles in response, but I hardly notice. I'm too overwhelmed by Logan. Butterflies swarm my belly when his face crack open to let pure joy take over his features. He is gorgeous.

"I was joking with you," Logan tells me while still smiling in deep amusement. "Your face when I said that was priceless, though! I'm sorry for laughing, but you should have seen yourself!"

I send him a glare before clearing my throat. "So, what songs do you want me to sing at your perfect wedding?"

He flashes me a dazzling smile. "How about we discuss that over lunch? I'm starving." His lips twitch then. "Who knows, maybe there is sausage on the menu?"

I almost choke. "You won't let me live this down, will you?"

Logan shakes his head. "Nope."
