Chapter Ten

Mira's Pov

As I turned in bed for comfort, I heard what sounded like a carpenter's nail hitting a wall. I was unable to wait to get up and see what it was. The sound was so loud that I was unable to stand it any longer. I heard someone knock on the door and looked closely.

"Why so early in the morning?" I had woken up because it was so early.

"You are cordially invited to the dining room for breakfast. The maid said, "Come downstairs as soon as you can," just as I opened the door.

Right now, I was shocked and couldn't believe what I was hearing. I started to wonder whether Roland was genuinely hosting a feast or something.
