“Hey,” Bronze calmly looks at me and then shakes his head. “It’s alright,” he whispers “It’s just a cut. It’ll heal.”

Then he crouches down and starts picking up the scattered shards of glass as if nothing happened.

Guilt claws at my chest. I can’t just sit and watch him clean up my mess.

I lower myself to the floor too, carefully gathering the pieces, but my hands are trembling too much.
