Chapter 36Sarah's PovI was relieved to have finally left the lion's den. I didn't go back to the quarter since I was sure Olivia would still be with her master. Chapter 37Sarah's PovJake and the rogue began to move in a circle and I had to move a little bit backward. I could hear the angry growl of Jake's wolf and I felt happy to see that he was trying to protect me. Within a second, Jake had leapt on the rogue and the rogue did the same. They got into a fierce fight. It was as if both of them were ready to fight each other. Chapter 38Sarah's Pov"How's Jake?" I asked Olivia as soon as she walked in. "I thought I warned you not to call him by his name. Can't you just put the word, Alpha in front of it?" Chapter 39Jake winced on the bed as the healer helped to treat his wounds. The King and Beta Fred walked in to examine his wounds before interrogating him. "What did you notice about the rogue that attacked you?" The King asked. "He was stronger than usual and he used strange techniques," Jake replied." Just as we feared," Beta Fred said and Jake knew what they meant. "You think that they are being sent by our enemies?" He inquired to be sure and they nodded. The healer who was now done with dressing Jake's wounds joined in the conversation, "Makes sense, their attacks have been more strategic and they have improved in their fighting skills."The King stood dumbfounded. Chapter 40Olivia gazed largely at Jake seeing him stand outside the room knowing he had come to check up on Sarah. She noticed his wounds had all closed up but he was looking all weary. She wondered how he got the strength to come out of his chamber to check on Sarah. How could he have come to visit her after he claimed he never loved her and rejected her? Chapter 41Even after she slept late, Sarah woke up early groaning from the headache that had caught up with her. She tried ignoring it but the pain continued. As usual, Olivia wasn't in the room so she had to look out for herself. She got out of bed tiredly and moved to a small cabinet beside Olivia's bed. She turned the key open and started to look for the concoction Olivia always gave to her to use when she had a headache. She found it and brought it out from the cupboard. She walked to the kitchen as her leg could carry her and began to put on the fire to boil water in mixing the concoction. Five minutes later, the water had already boiled and she poured it out into a cup. She added the concoction and waited for a few minutes for the water to turn warm. She left the kitchen and went over to her closet to choose the cloth she will be wearing for that day with Jake's thoughts in her mind.
