I woke up the next morning feeling a mixture of emotions. The pain from the mating mark still continued but it was overshadowed by the memories of the previous night.

As I lay in bed, I couldn’t help but think about what happened. I felt a flutter in my chest as I remembered the way Aiden looked at me, the way he touched me and the way he made love to me.

It was everything I hoped for. I couldn’t wait to tell Katie all about it.

‘We finally have a mate.’ Ava said in a soft and gentle voice and I smiled.

‘Yes, we do.’ I couldn’t stop smiling as the memories of my time with Aiden replayed in my head. It was so nice and it felt right. I couldn’t wait to do it again.

I threw off the covers and got out of bed. Walking over to the window, I pushed outside the curtains and looked out. The sun was shining and the cool morning air filled my lungs.
