“Katie, you won’t do that.” My expression became serious but Katie looked so determined. “Do you know what it means? Random people would die. I would die, Aiden would die..”

“But it wasn’t a problem when the Malley witches died?” She asked, giving me a disdainful look.

I was shocked and I couldn’t believe we were even having such a conversation. “Katie, what has gotten into you?” I asked, a puzzled expression registered on my face.

“Nothing, I just want justice for my people.” She said.

“Girl, you don’t even know what they look like,” I replied with a scoff. A part of me felt she was just bored and joking because there was no way in hell she would take that moonstone and put everyone’s life in danger.

Katie didn’t say anything else to me, she just walked out of the room. I didn’t know what she was up to, so I followed her.

When we got downstairs, everyone could tell we just had a serious argument. They all stared at us with concern etched on their faces.
