Chapter 21

Sylvia has created a halo that transported the two of us inside a room that I did not recognize before.

From the moment I stepped into the dimly lit room, a chill ran down my spine. The air was thick, and heavy with a scent I couldn't place—something ancient and foreboding. I blinked, my eyes adjusting to the dim light, and that's when I saw it.

The room was cluttered with shelves upon shelves of glass bottles, each containing swirling mists of colors that seemed to defy nature.

"What is this?" I whispered to myself.

Jars filled with unidentifiable objects, some pulsating as if they were alive, lined the walls. Dried herbs hung from the ceiling, casting eerie shadows that danced across the stone floor.

I couldn't believe it; this was my home, yet I had never seen this room before. It felt like I had been drawn into a nightmare.
