THIRD PERSON POINT OF VIEW

The parking lot gleamed under the late-afternoon sun, polished stone reflecting the sharp lines of two identical black cars waiting side by side. Engines were already humming softly, drivers standing alert near the doors.

Reid stopped between them.

“This one,” he said calmly, nodding toward the first car. “Natalie’s friends can take the second.”

One of the drivers immediately moved to open the rear door of the second car.

Natalie reacted instantly.

She stepped forward fast, heels clicking, fingers wrapping around Reid’s arm with practiced intimacy, as if she’d done it a thousand times in front of mirrors.

“I’ll go with you,” she said brightly, clinging a little tighter. “Obviously.”

Reid glanced down at her hand, then up at her face.

He nodded once. “Alright.”

Karline didn’t react. She simply shifted her gaze toward the first car, already calculating the most efficient seat to take, uninterested in the little performance unfolding beside her.

Karlene doesn’t need a man to help her feel good about herself! She a stand on her own! Natalie’s whole life revolves around being with Reid. She has no identity without him, and she’s already proven she’ll do anything to have him! It’s really Pathetic.

I like it... how strong Karline is!! Of course she should be. After all she isn't someone pathetic like Natalie.

  • Rejected by my Husband   Chapter 154

THIRD PERSON POINT OF VIEW Natalie was already waiting near the door when the lock clicked. The second Reid stepped inside, she reached for him, fingers curling around the sleeve of his coat as if afraid he might disappear again if she let go. “You’re here,” she said, her voice soft, relieved, warm. “I was starting to worry.” Reid glanced down at her hand, then back to her face. His expression stayed neutral, composed. “I said afternoon,” he replied calmly. “And it’s still afternoon.” Natalie laughed lightly, a sound rehearsed to sound affectionate rather than nervous. “You know how I get. I just want everything to be perfect.” James walked in right behind Reid, pausing just long enough to inhale dramatically. “Oh wow,” James said, clapping his hands once. “It smells like someone declared war on the kitchen.” Natalie stiffened for a fraction of a second before smoothing her expression. “Welcome, James,” she said sweetly. “I hope you’re hungry.” James smiled. “Al

THIRD PERSON POINT OF VIEW Natalie had never hated a kitchen before. Not in her life. But as she stood in Reid’s apartment, staring at the marble countertop buried under grocery bags, chopping boards, spice jars, measuring cups, and printed instructions, she felt personally attacked by stainless steel.“Okay,” she whispered to herself, tying the apron tighter around her waist. “It’s just cooking.”Just cooking. She glanced at the list again. Her left eye twitched.Breakfast:Soft scrambled eggs (NO browning)Avocado slices (ripe but not mushy)Toast (lightly crisped, not dry)Coffee (strong, no sugar; milk on side)Coffee (with sugar, two spoons — James)Lunch:Grilled chicken (well-marinated, low oil)Steamed vegetables (fresh, no frozen)Rice (fluffy, separate grains)Side salad (no excess dressing)Dinner:Soup (clear, not oily)Pan-seared fish (crispy skin, moist inside)Sautéed greens (no garlic smell lingering)Natalie swallowed.Who eats like this?A human being or a five-star

THIRD PERSON POINT OF VIEW "But.. what?" She asked. Reid smirked."Meet me in the afternoon" AFTERNOON That afternoon, Natalie arrived early. Too early. She stood in Reid’s living room with her purse clutched to her chest, posture straight, smile practiced in the mirror of the elevator ride up. When the door opened, she brightened instantly. “Reid,” she said softly. “You wanted to see me?” He stepped aside to let her in, expression unreadable. “Come.” That single word already made her nervous. She followed him inside. James was there too, seated at the dining table with a laptop open, glasses pushed up his nose. He glanced up, took one look at Natalie, and went back to typing like this was a documentary he was only here to narrate later. Reid didn’t waste time. “If you’re going to be my wife,” he said calmly, sitting down across from James, “you need to start acting like one.” Natalie’s smile froze for half a second. “I..of course.” “You haven’t taken care of a single

  • Rejected by my Husband   Chapter 160

THIRD PERSON POINT OF VIEW Morning sunlight spilled generously through the floor-to-ceiling windows of Reid’s apartment, painting the marble kitchen in warm gold. The smell of freshly brewed coffee hung in the air, sharp and comforting. James was already there. He stood at the kitchen island, sleeves rolled up, calmly buttering toast like he owned the place, which, in a way, he practically did. A tablet rested beside him, flashing through reports as if this were just another boardroom and not Reid’s private kitchen. Reid leaned against the counter opposite him, skimming something on his phone, relaxed, quiet. The front door clicked open. Natalie stepped in, dressed in soft pastel tones, effortlessly curated to look “natural.” Her hair fell in loose waves, makeup minimal but strategic. She paused the moment she saw James. Her smile froze. Just for half a second. Then it bloomed again, wide and sweet, almost painfully so. “Oh,” she said lightly. “Good morning.”

  • Rejected by my Husband   Chapter 150

THIRD PERSON POINT OF VIEW The apartment was unusually tense.Margaret sat on the velvet armchair near the fireplace, spine straight, fingers wrapped tightly around a porcelain teacup she hadn’t touched. Her eyes were fixed on Natalie, who was perched on the edge of the sofa, phone pressed to her hands, posture carefully delicate, as if the right angle of vulnerability might earn sympathy.Around them, Natalie’s friends hovered awkwardly. They tried to look busy, uninterested, but their eyes darted constantly between Margaret and Natalie, soaking in every second of the drama they hadn’t anticipated when they came for shopping and luxury.James stood near the window, arms crossed, face unreadable. Reid leaned against the desk, one hand in his pocket, expression calm, too calm.Natalie sniffed softly into the phone.“Reid…” she said, voice trembling just enough. “I don’t understand how this could happen. Today was supposed to be… nice.”Reid’s voice came through steady, controlled. “N

  • Rejected by my Husband   Chapter 149

THIRD PERSON POINT OF VIEW Margaret Carter arrived like she always did, unhurried, composed, wrapped in elegance so practiced it looked effortless. The murmurs around the billing counter quieted the moment people noticed her. Wealth recognized wealth. Her sharp eyes took in the scene in a single sweep:the halted billing, the staff standing awkwardly, the mountain of luxury items now being pulled back, and Natalie, stiff, flushed, trying desperately to keep her smile intact.Margaret’s lips curved, soft and reassuring on the surface, as she stepped beside Natalie.“What seems to be the issue, dear?” she asked sweetly, though her fingers closed around Natalie’s wrist with a warning squeeze.Natalie leaned closer, voice trembling despite her effort to sound calm. “M-Mrs. Carter…I mean mu.. mother the card isn’t working. I don’t know why.”Margaret’s smile didn’t falter. Her eyes, however, hardened. She turned to the cashier. “There must be a mistake.”The cashier straightened nervousl
