Elizabeth POV

I let out a big sigh and Kinsley looked at me sympathetically. “It will get easier, I promise,” she says as she pushes the file she was showing me aside. “I can barely read, Kinsley; how am I going to be able to do this?” I ask as I put my hand over my face. I would not cry. No more tears. Just action.

“I will help you,” she says as she starts to summarize what was in front of me. I nodded understanding the problem. We discussed a couple options, and I made a recommendation. Kinsley smiled at me, “That is a great suggestion!” she exclaims as she makes some notes on the file. I smile encouraged by her enthusiasm.

“Let’s take a break. We have been at this for a few hours,” she says as she looks at her watch. “It is time for lunch, are you hungry?” she asks me. My stomach growls in response and we both end up laughing and standing up to go towards the dining hall. I was missing Carter and I hoped I would see him there.

isn't the council an advisory body? why then would the alpha have to heed their advice?

Did you retcon her original childhood to make the character more pathetic & pitiful? The last few chapters of description lead the reader to believe she had been enslaved since she was a small child. But the beginning of the book directly states she had a normal life& was a good student til 16

    Good day Everyone I wanted to share a quick update. I am working on the draft for Eric's story and expect to start it the week of May 6, 2024. I hope you will be as excited as I am to write the story. His will have a couple interesting twists but suffice to say he will find his mate. The question ... will he accept her :) After that we will see where we go but I do want to write the stories for the pups after they are grown. Any feedback is always welcome.     Elizabeth’s POV The past six months had been a rush of emotions. Watching CJ grow was unbelievable. He was growing fast already walking.
