Elizabeth POV I am struggling to keep control of Ashley. She is pushing me to shift, “Elizabeth, give me control and we can get out of here!” Ashley screams in my head. “We cannot leave, Ashley. Alpha Carter POV With everything that was happening, the council wanted to keep the hearing going. They felt they had enough evidence and wanted to make some determinations of their own. Everyone was made aware of the charges. The inappropriate abuse Elizabeth endured over her years as a slave at Red Moons Pack. The kidnapping attempt of Elizabeth. And the accusations that Elizabeth had murdered Elder Timothy in cold blood. While we did not get into that enough to be certain she would be cleared, I had to trust the Moon Goddess now that we had a chance to clear her name. Once I got her back the first thing I was going to do was mark her. Not being able to communicate with her was killing me. I paced waiting and hoping there would be some quick decisions. But that did not happen. That meant there were many discussions being had behind closed doors. I had the Omegas bring food into the area for those who could stomach food. I could not.

Elizabeth POV I roamed around the territory I found myself on. There had been nobody who came running when I breached the area, and I could scent no rogues. Perhaps it was a safe zone for wolves. I did not know but I knew I still had to be on my guard. I had to be certain I could protect myself. Or rather Ashley could protect us. I stayed in wolf form. Without clothes I felt vulnerable, and it was not necessary to be in human form while we searched for shelter.
