Eric opened the door to his side.
He ignored it. He unbuckled her and slid his hand under her thighs and back. He took her in his lap and drifted his eyes over her face, "Are you scared of me?" He asked in a whisper.
She stared out of the open door. Eric and his men stood far away from them, giving them privacy.
She didn't want to witness his wrath one more time. She nodded her head biting down on her lip.
His lips pressed softly over her forehead, "I'll do anything to keep you safe, even from myself too." He said with a sigh.
She turned her gaze on him. He wasn't giving a menacing look anymore. She nodded after a pause, staring at him.
Carrying her in his arms, he stepped out of the car, "I'll walk, " She said, looking around. But no one was glancing their way.
