The Pretend Girlfriend!

Few minutes after dressing slutty, Michelle found her way out of the house. She took a cab and head straight to the address Frederick has sent to her. She grabbed her hair as her feet kept on banging the car. The driver annoyingly stared at her from the front mirror.

"Be calm ma'am, you'll compensate me if you ruin my car"

"I'm sorry" was her response.

She was asking herself what's with her and rich men. Other people might be unlucky finding a rich man to rent them, but her... She got the third and second at the same time.

"We're here!" The driver announced. She paid him and stepped out of the car. Her mouth shot wide open as she stood in front of the club. It was the most popular and expensive club in the whole of the country.

Her teeth gnashed against each other as she shivered in fear.

"Miss Rose?" Someone asked her. She nodded her head.

"My boss has been waiting" he said.

"Ah, sure" she said and followed him behind. She entered the club and squeezed her face. The sight of the strippers annoyed her even more.

"He's in the VIP suite. He's waiting for you" he said.

Michelle found her way into the VIP suite. She looked around, looking for the man she hasn't seen before. She was even lucky because the whole of the suite was empty for no reason.

"Shut your stinky ass mouth! Go and find it!"

She heard a loud voice followed by bottle smashing.

"Yes boss!" Some men chorused and threw the door wide open.

His piercing gaze met with hers before the door closed on it's own. Soon after, it opened again and he was the one this time.

Michelle bit her lower lips seductively, seeing the fine man in front of her. His curly hair that covered half of his face. He looked like a Mafia but, he was just a playboy. His eyes, his body... Everything about him pleased her. She just hope he wasn't like Trevor.

"You must be Rose" he said, with his deep masculine voice. She nodded, wearing a cute smile.

"Yes, I am"

"Come with me" he said and walked to another suite. It was decorated with red light and flowers. The soft jazz that was in the room made everything calm.

"I know I called you on a short notice but, I need your help" he said.

"With what?" She asked.

.

.

Few minutes later, they prepared for what they were supposed to do. He sat down and she sat very close to him.

"She'll be here any minute" he said.

"Yes, I'm ready" she said.

"Ah! I forgot!" He slipped his hand into his pocket and handed her a ring.

Michelle gasped. She almost choked.

"Is...is this a real diamond ring?" She asked.

"Are you going to wear it or not?" He asked. She took it and slipped it through her finger.

"Boss, she's here" one of his men announced. He nodded. They both pretend to be laughing as another lady entered the suite. She dressed quite decent. She was from a good family.

"Ah, I didn't notice you Daniella, forgive me" he said. Daniella glared at Michelle who sipped from her wine.

"So, it's true? You really are engaged to someone else" she said.

"Who is she baby?" Michelle asked.

"Ah, she's the person I told you about. The one my father wanted me to marry. I told her about you, but, she didn't believe"

Michelle laughed and gave Daniella a pitiful look.

"I'm already engaged to him and very soon, I'll be the daughter in law of his family" she said.

Frederick placed his hand over his shoulder. She almost reacted but, she remembered what was at stake.

"If you really are dating, prove it" she said.

"The ring? Do you want more proof?" Michelle asked and Daniella nodded her head.

"I'll call off this engagement once I see you two kiss" she said.

Frederick and Michelle turned their head and exchanged glances with each other. She remembered what he said while he was explaining things to her.

"If this works out perfectly, I'll give you five million" he said. She really could do a lot of things with that money. She swallowed hard and bit her lower lips.

"We don't need to show you that. Just call off the engagement and..."

"Baby, it's just a kiss. Let's show her" Michelle said, touching his chin. He was staring right into her eyes. He was secretly giving her signals not to do it but... She moved her face closer to him and kissed him.

Daniella groaned in frustration. She slammed her hand on the table and left. Immediately she left, she pulled back from his lips and sighed.

"It's done" she said. She faced him and saw the look on his face.

"Hey, it's over" she said. He snapped back to reality and sprung up immediately.

"How dare you kiss me? Do you have a death wish?!" He yelled, grabbing her shoulder. She shrieked in pain.

"I thought I was helping!"

"Well, you weren't. Because, this wasn't how I wanted everything to go" he said.

"I'm sorry. I..."

"Just go"

"What about..." She wanted to ask about the money.

"Go!" He yelled. She screamed and ran out.

.

.

Few hours later, she got off the bus and walked home. She was pondering on what happened earlier. She thought about what she did wrong, but she didn't get it.

But, she remembered when Trevor kissed her. The same way she felt bad, that must be the same way Frederick felt bad.

She heaved a breath of relief when she got home. As she was about to enter inside, her phone chimed.

She saw the money. Five million. She gasped and covered her mouth, dancing on the empty street. She thought about what she could do with this money. Just as Francis said, find a bigger house.

.

.

The next morning, it was Saturday. Before everyone woke up, Michelle had gone out to buy a car. Just one that she could use to transport her kids to school. Chloe and Kelly entered the car and sniffed the new scent.

"How much did you make last night?" Francis whispered.

"You don't need to know. I'm doing everything to help this family already. That's enough" she said.

He nodded on agreement. He knew she was still angry about how he cheated on her, but he wanted to know. He wanted a share out of the money.

.

"Are we moving out? What about school?" Chloe asked her mother.

"You'll still be attending your old school. You're on scholarship, remember?" She asked them and they both nodded.

.

The whole Saturday, they packed up and on Sunday, they moved to the new house. It already has nice furnitures and everything in the huge kitchen.

"Kelly! It's two separate beds. Come have a look!" Chloe ran upstairs. Michelle smiled, seeing them loving the house already.

Francis blocked her when she was on her way to pick some stuff outside.

"How much did you rent this house?" He asked.

"Rent? I bought it. Nice, huh?" She asked. He grabbed her shoulder and pulled her back.

"I know you can't trust me again, after that day"

"What day?" She asked.

He scratched his head, he didn't want to say a word.

"You should still share everything with me. I'm your husband" he said. Michelle scoffed. She wasn't married to him yet. She doesn't have to remind herself.

"I will but not now. Let's move things in" she said. He scoffed and helped her move things in.

.

.

It was towards evening, they already settled in and clean their new house. Michelle made dinner for everyone and they ate.

"Aren't you going to the restaurant?"

"I'm going to quit. I'm going to spend more time with my kids, hmm?" She said. Kelly blushed with her mouth filled up.

Francis saw the happiness on their faces, especially Michelle but he didn't like it. The fact that he doesn't know anything about it. How much she got last night? Who she went out with?

She just woke up the next morning with a surprise. A new car and a new house.

Francis dropped his fork angrily and left the dinning table.

Michelle faced the kids.

"Once you're done eating, put the plates in the dishwasher"

"Yes mom!" They chorused.

She went after Francis.

.

.

Rose was cleaning the restaurant for the day. It was Saturday, they close quite early. She heard the doorbell rang. She immediately turned her neck and saw it was Trevor. She couldn't talk. She just stuttered.

"H..h.hello. hi, I mean...hey sir"

"Where is Rose?" He asked. Rose already knew he was talking about Michelle.

"She didn't come today. She might want to quit" she said.

"She moved out of her house. She's not answering my call. Can you hand this to her once you see her?" He asked, giving her a pen. Rose took it and nodded.

"Sure, I will"

"Thanks" he replied and walked away. She smirked, staring at the pen.

"How can she give her a pen? Is she really a joke?" She asked herself. The door bell rang again . She turned and saw another new face. It was super familiar especially with his hairstyle and personality. He looked around, with his men behind him.

She furrowed her eyebrows, trying to remember him.

A loud gasp escaped from her lips.

"Frederick Lloyd!" She called out his name and fell unconscious.
