LOGINSabrina’s Pov
The room fell silent. I didn’t look away, because for the first time since my world crumbled, my expression wasn’t broken.
Tucker stood by the door, his hand unmoving on Fiona’s waist, the other on the door handle as if he was trying to recall why he had walked in.
“Are you okay?” Nevan asked, his thumb brushing my bottom lip.
Tucker’s eyes followed the movement, his jaw locked as he watched how close we were.
Good. Let him watch, let him see everything.
“Get your hands off my wife!” he growled.
Nevan didn’t pull away, that was something I noticed. His hands were still on me, as if he wasn’t afraid of being seen with me. Like he had no intentions of pretending that everything was a mistake.
His eyes glinted with mischief as he slowly turned to face Tucker, “Well,” his tone was calm, too calm. “You have always had a flair for making a statement,” he winked at me.
My breath caught, my chest tightening as I stared at him, he was taking this more than I thought he would. Acting like he had been planned all along.
Tucker shut the door behind him, as if he didn’t want the world to see a lie that was cracking through the illusion. “What the hell are you thinking? Sabrina? In a fucking public place?”
His voice wasn’t raised. He didn’t look cold and detached.
I almost laughed. Now he had questions.
Now he needed answers.
“this…”I leaned into Nevan, my hand on his chest, feeling the calm yet thunderous heartbeat that resonated through me. “This is me moving on, choosing me.”
The words landed clean. Sharp just like his actions had hurt.
Fiona shifted from his touch, I could see the flicker in her eyes, a slight fear as she noticed the confidence that I eluded.
Trucker’s jaw tightened, his eyes on Nevan’s hand that hadn’t left my face, “You are still my wife!” he hissed.
I should applaud him for keeping his voice low. I guess he was slowly getting to understand how it feels to hide the pain.
“No, I was your wife.” I bit out. “But now, I am the woman you lost.”
Tucker growled, Nevan’s hand moved around my waist, a possessive hold that made me feel secure. “Who do you think you are?” Tucker hissed.
Nevan smiled, “The man who will love her, more than you could,”
“You think this will change anything?” Tucker hissed, his eyes gleaming with frustration. “Have you thought about what people will say? Have you even imagined what this would mean to you?”
I didn’t.
And maybe that was a good thing.
“They will move on, you have a woman you have been sleeping with, she can be the Luna,” I hissed, my glare on the woman who ruined my life.
Was it a ruin? Should it be considered a ruin?
I sat up straight, “Leave, Tucker, I will have my lawyers send the papers to you,” I said.
He let out a low laugh, “Do you think you will survive? You have nothing, no life…”
“She has me!” Nevan cut in.
My heart hadn’t stopped pounding in my chest, but this time it wasn’t from fear or pain. It was from something I haven't felt in a long time.
Control.
I was finally getting it back.
His eyes scanned my face, as if he was searching to find something. “You are going to regret this,” he said in a low tone.
There wasn’t any love in his eyes. No regret.
Just a man with a bruised ego.
“Leave,” my voice was cold, controlled as I stared at him.
Something dangerous flashed through his eyes, “Sabrina…”
“Leave, Tucker, there is nothing for you here,”
My tone was blunt, no hesitation, no softness.
He opened his mouth to speak, but Nevan beat him to it, “You heard her,” his voice dripping with authority.
Tucker left out a quiet scoff, shaking his head slightly, “This isn’t over,” he hissed, yanking the door open as he stormed out.
It wasn’t over, I knew that. Men like Tucker didn’t accept defeat.
Fiona followed him, lingering at the door as she looked at me with an unsure look on her face. When the door closed, I finally let out the breath that I was holding. A low chuckle rumbled through me, I did it. Not entirely but this was a start.
“Are you okay?” Nevan asked, he was asking that a lot.
I smiled, “Never better.” And I meant it. “Thank you for helping,” my voice cracked in the end.
“always.” He nodded. “The woman…”
“That is the mistress, the woman who has taken everything,” I muttered.
A tear rolled down my cheek, it wasn’t from pain, not in the way I was thinking. I felt free.
Nevam slowly pulled his hand from my waist, worry etched on his face as he stared at me, “Sabrina…”
“I am fine, I just… five years, five years Nevan and this is how it ends,” my voice cracked. “You didn’t have to,” I stared at him, wondering what was going to become of him now that he was in this war.
“I did.”
“he is going to come for you, he is going to…” My eyes widened, I wasn’t thinking straight, and now he was slowly getting into harm’s way.
He had that smile, “I would love to see him try.”
I shook my head, he had no idea about the kind of man Tucker was, about the people he had as allies. “I need to leave, I need to go somewhere that he won’t find me,” my voice rambled on.
He grabbed my hand, “You are safe…”
“I am not. Tucker isn’t letting this go without a fight,” I whispered, my fear finally known.
He sighed, “he won’t get you…”
“How are you sure about that?”
He stared at me, something unreadable in his eyes. “Marry me, Sabrina.”

Sabrina’s Pov“What…” my voice faltered before I could steady it. “What are you doing here?”He didn’t move from his spot, his arms folded over his chest as he watched me, “I saved you,” he said simply.Of course. Of course, the moon goddess would do this, fate had a twisted sense of humor and I was just the butt of the joke. The silence stretched between us, heavy, loaded, filled with years of things unsaid, emotions unresolved. He stepped closer, too close, his scent filling my lungs, reminding me of how life had been when we were young, happy….“You haven’t changed a bit,” he muttered. My chest squeezed, I hated the familiarity in his tone, the way it was easy for him to make me feel comforted in his presence.I let out a soft breath, “That isn’t true, I am different now,” I argued weakly.“It is,” he smiled. “You still run when things fall apart.”That hit harder than it should.“I… I wasn’t thinking clearly,” I whispered.“You should, you have always had the habit of thrusting he

I needed to breathe. My chest rose and fell rapidly, each uneven movement filled with pain as I struggled to get my lungs to function like they usually do.The smell that hit me was pungent, slamming me straight into a reality I didn’t know. The pristine smell of disinfectants filled my nostrils. The memory came fast, throbbing and strong. I winced, closing my eyes as the memory of the lights, the loud honking, the crash, everything flooded through me violently. My stomach squeezed violently as I tried to block the memory. My fingers grabbing the bedsheets weakly feeling the strain on my wrist. My eyes opened slowly, “oh god….”I whispered.I tried to move my hand, but a stinging caused me to pause. There was an IV connected to the back of my hand.“I am… I’m…” I couldn’t get the words out, not yet.The door creaked open, the sound drawing my attention to the side, and a lady wa

I want out,” my voice trembled at the last words. For a second, there was silence, then he let out a scoff, disbelief dancing in his eyes, “You can’t walk away, you are the Luna, what do you think the people…”“The people aren’t there to see you cheat!” I roared, my voice cutting him off. “They haven’t been through it; they have no idea what it feels like to be sidelined in their own home.”“So, you are giving up on your role?” he huffed.“Call it what you want, but I am done with all of it,” I bit back, holding his gaze. “I am divorcing you, by morning, you will be hearing from my lawyers.”That landed differently, I saw it in the subtle shift in his expression which was the first crack in his control.“And what about Milo?” he asked immediately, his tone hardening as he w
Sabrina’s Pov“The guests have arrived." my voice quivered, the sound startling them.Fiona let out a scream, scrambling immediately, reaching for her clothes, as if she had any dignity left to gather. But Tucker? My husband? He didn’t rush.Of course, he didn’t.He stepped back slowly, like nothing had happened. as if I hadn’t just walked in on something that shattered everything that I thought I understood about my life. He adjusted his shirt with a sense of calmness, completely ignoring the chaos that was tearing me apart.Fiona rushed past me, her head down in shame. A few minutes ago, it had been thrown back in pleasure, forgetting that he was my husband.“What are you doing in my office?” his voice was low, the words hitting me harder than they should.“What?” my voice barely above a whisper as I stared at him.My chest tightened, this wasn’t just about betrayal, it was the fact that it meant nothing to him.
