Chapter 39 - A New Bond

GEORGE'S POV,

The following morning, my head was pounding from all the alcohol I'd drunk the night before. I put my hand on my head, wincing as I felt a sharp pain.

When I brought my hand back down, I felt the soft skin of her chin next to me. That's when I realized her arm was wrapped tightly around me. I turned to look at her and saw that she was still asleep.

I whispered to her, "Good morning, angel." I planted a gentle kiss on her forehead, letting her know how I truly felt about her.

"For a moment, I thought last night was just a dream," I told her, my face beaming with a genuine smile. "But I'm so happy to find out it wasn't."
