Instead, I turned to face his back and massaged his shoulders with the wood-scented body wash. I gave him a gentle, slow neck rub. He needed to be able to rely on my touch and have enough faith in me to owe me a favor. I had to massage Damon's large frame one side at a time due to his bulging muscles and veins. I shampooed his hair and leaned my breasts against his back, maintaining my balance on my toes. He was submerged under the forceful shower head fall and remained still the whole time.

I wrapped my hand around his waist and began to massage his torso, heading lower and lower until his hands came up to halt me. At the unexpected movement, I gasped for air and recoiled, thinking I had gone too far. Damon whirled around, a look of extreme hunger on his face and his jaws trembling. Sliding his hands to cup my jaw, he backed me into the icy marble wall.

His lips were suddenly pushed to mine and his body against mine. Damon kissed with desire and aggression instead of tenderness or love. The intensity of his mouth was too much for me to handle, so I parted my lips and let him suck on my tongue, chin, and jaw before finally grasping both of my breasts and giving them powerful kisses.

Damon pushed his knee in between my legs as I tried to cross them to prevent his member from invading. At the top of my vagina, I could feel it pressing down. His mouth was growing more beastly and starved with each kiss. I became increasingly turned on until I realized I could handle no more. His grunts resounded in my ear, and I let out a moan and shuddered. He pulled a handful of my hair and made me look up to face him.

He gave me a quick slap across my face and another whilst staring at me with such intensity. The ache in my scalp caused tears to well up, which I blinked away. Damon looked from my jaw and rose to my cheek and without warning, he pulled away. After Damon crossed the stream of water and entered the restroom, I observed him through a steam-covered glass as he wrapped the towel around his middle and walked away.

It was only after I turned off the water that I realized how labored my breathing was. There was silence, but the battle my thoughts were fighting, loud and clear, had begun within my brain. I couldn't remember what had happened to him or why he'd stopped.

Not now, not when I really wanted him.

When I returned to the room, I didn't glance in the mirror. I remained nude, holding out hope that Damon was still up, holding a glass of bourbon, and ready to take me. The glass was empty, but Damon was sleeping soundly with his back to me.

It was agony to lie next him. Once I had found some pajamas, I made an effort to divert my attention. I was powerless against the urges he had given me and the dirty thoughts that followed. I mean, how could he resist?

I could not help but wonder if it was just me or was there someone else.

When Damon woke up the following morning, I sat up and waited for him to look at me because I hadn't slept a wink. I made up my mind that I could not be held captive like this any longer. He looked from my leg and arms back up to my face, as if he was surprised to find me awake. It seemed strange that he remained silent. I was certain he would yell at me or something.

As soon as I said, "I want to come with you today," he was already heading to the restroom.

"No," he muttered drowsily.

"If I'm going to send my chuld there, I should be able to see what the training camps are like!"

"Stop talking, it's giving me a headache," he snarled.

I caught hold of his arms and stopped him in his tracks. Naturally, Damon had the option to throw me against the room if he so desired. Rather than turning away, he fixed his gaze on me as though I had two heads. Despite my laboured breathing, I didn't back down.

"You can't do this, you can't keep me here like some prisoner, I deserve to find out what happens at the training camps-"

"How did you even know I was going there today?"

"I heard you, two nights ago on the phone, I was awake."

"Fine," he shrugged me away, moving on.

Damon told me he would be getting breakfast and waiting for me in the parking lot once he finished the shower, so I knew I had to move quickly. I gasped when I saw my reflection in the bathroom mirror after stripping off and running in. Standing there, I stared in shock at what I saw. For the first time, I realized why Damon had been staring at me since this morning.

My breasts, some areas of my face, my stomach, and my arms were all bruised or scarred where he had touched me. Purple and scarlet bruises hung like a necklace around my neck. I winced at the agony as I applied pressure. My fingers brushed through my hair, and again, handfuls of hair fell to the ground.

Did he stop last night for that because of this? Was he scared I might get hurt?

You should be relieved that he stopped because he might have broken you. A voice in my head said.

I showered in warm water and grimaced every time the jets caused sharp pain. I made use of makeup from the bathroom drawers to conceal some of the bruises on my face while wearing a black turtleneck and pants before making my way to the lobby.

Maria was downstairs, and she seemed eager to meet me. "Are you alright, did he hurt you?" she asked, standing at the bottom of the steps holding a muffin.

"Why do you ask?" she couldn't have possibly known about last night.

She put her palm on my cheek, tugging at her fingers to show me the makeup, saying, "Ice it."

"I'm okay," I muttered to myself as I snatched the muffin out of her hand.

"Did he...?"

"We didn't, at least not yet. I had to leave.

I forced myself to ignore a wave of guilt and shame. I wasn't sure why I felt like I was leaving her behind, but maybe it was because I had secretly planned my departure and wasn't sure when or how it would happen. In the unlikely event that we arrived at Akbur Hills and I saw my father, Damon would only be able to take me by carrying my lifeless body.

Damon was outside, yelling something fiercely into the phone as usual. I slipped into the jet black sports car without him realizing, in case he had had a change of heart. We drove past the gates and headed downward without a word as he climbed into the car and slammed the noisy engine into gear.

When they had originally brought me here in the vehicle on the first night, I experienced déjà vu. For a while we were on a dirt lane through the woods, then miles and miles of trees, interspersed with the occasional mansion.

The first thing Damon said to me when we departed was, "The Stationary is about a two-hour ride. It's what we call the training camps." About 100 Half-Bloods reside there."

"There's only 100 half-bloods?" I barely made it out.

In every state, there is a Stationary. Both the population and the rate of breeding are low. Finding a mortal to mate with used to take months, but a few years ago, the Model XZ was released, allowing dolls to be created specifically for the creation of Half-Bloods."Model XZ?""The process of putting mortals to sleep, for the purpose of creating human dolls.""Like me."We were silent for the remainder of the journey. He finally pulled the car to a stop outside a metal building, which was rectangular in shape. There were two guards at the main doors. "Good Morning Alpha," and nodded to show me respect. They were obviously werewolves because they both had the same tattoos. It was as though they were unaware of my presence. We strode through the automatic doors. Inside was just an elevator-filled corridor. I read over the buttons inside one of the elevators."Training grounds... cafeteria...main hall...offices...dormitories.."Damon snapped, "Keep your mouth shut," and I was at a los

Later that evening, I had dinner by myself. I snuck out into the back where a dozen cars were parked and examined them all for keys. None of them could be found. Damon resumed his routine in the bedroom. He smelled like smoke and bourbon and arrived late every night. Sometimes he caressed my thighs or my neck forcefully while I held in my breathing, other nights he didn't bother acknowledging my existence. Really, getting up every day, eating the food that the staff provided, and then just strolling around until nightfall was becoming monotonous. As usual, Damon had wandered in tonight. It was just two in the morning. He had a conversation going on the phone. Beneath the covers, I shrank."I can't be in two places at once," he murmured angrily, "I'm going to the training camp after tomorrow to check on the Hybrids and then I've got to pay a visit to Akbur Hills."The very mention of Akbur Hills made my body tense."So you take care of it, Luke. Don't bother me with these pointless que

I had taken a second shower and changed into a satin set of sleepwear. Even later, I could still feel the crawling sensation on my skin. Half-memories flashed through my mind, the topics those men had discussed at the meeting, and above all, Akbur Hills. My father was in what Damon had described as a human prison. The thought that he might still be alive made my heart thud. If I could have him live here with me for at least a few years, then this fate wouldn't be so horrible. We can run away and locate another community until Damon decides I'm no longer useful. A headache started to creep in, and I had to close my eyes to see flashes of my former existence. This time, behind a decrepit shack, it was a woman preparing bread. Several villagers lined up to exchange items with the woman, including clothes, extra food, and cleaning supplies. The woman was Maria. She was from my village, so I assumed that's why she recognized me.My poor father, who must be 65 years old now, was rotting in

Before she chose to have second thoughts and tell the men inside that I had been listening in, I rushed out of her sight.I noticed that the waiters had brought some food out when I got back to the table. An older woman, a couple of years older than Maria, arranged baskets of bread and a bottle of wine in the centre, surrounded by more tattooless faces, including little boys and girls. Before I ever saw him, I knew it was him when I heard the sound of heavy feet. I sensed the abrupt darkness of his approach as if the room itself had a burdened, gloomy aura. As Damon sat down in the middle of the table, I continued to focus on my plate. He furiously tossed away an empty glass of wine and groaned, "Where the hell is my Bourbon?" You know I like to have it as soon as I sit, Petunia." The elderly woman hurriedly approached him with a glass half full of dark whisky and one ice cube. He took it from her and had a drink.Petunia apologised and ran back, showing up again carrying a dish of me

Mary had spent the last twenty minutes prodding and prodding me, playing with my hair, twirling my eyelashes, and choosing my dinner gown. Eventually, she settled on a vivid crimson gown composed of a silky material that stopped just above my upper thighs."Don't you think it's short?" I muttered as I looked at the job she had completed in the mirror. I couldn't help but comment on how amazing I looked and how well the dress's color complemented my skin's pale tone. She said, smirking, "It's perfect," to sum up."Who is he?" Through the mirror, I fixed my gaze on her."He is Master Damon, alpha of the Northern land.""He's one of them right, Tessa called him a beast, he's a wolf-man isn't he?""You would never dare say it to him. Please address him solely as Master."I let myself to consider "Why am I here?" for a moment in silence."He will explain everything to you."Tessa had arrived to usher me down the winding staircase. I felt like Tessa's glare could kill me as my heels sounded
