After my marriage with Damon, dad kept his promise and stepped down from his position, leaving me to take over as CEO.

I wanted to use my "busy nature," as an opportunity to avoid Damon but after that night he offered to drive me to work and back.

Ever since then it became a routine, and anytime he came to pick me up he brought a bouquet of roses along.

It felt nice being cared for like this, during my relationship with Derrick I had been the one putting all the effort and any small actions he made seemed like a big deal to me.

Maybe that's why this felt different.

Seeing the familiar black rolls royce parked Infront of the office building made my heart swell with joy.

"Thank you." I took it from his hands my face heating up in the process, as I sniffed the roses to inhale their scents.
