Torn between Fire and Ashes

The sound of the door clicking shut behind her had barely faded, and yet Lena’s lips were still pressed to Aiden’s as if the world would end if she dared to let go.

The air inside his campus apartment felt heavy, thick with the mingled scent of his cologne and her perfume, each kiss deepening the heat that coiled in her chest.

Her fingers trembled where they rested against his chest. She could feel his heartbeat, fast, chaotic, betraying the battle raging within him.

Every few seconds, Aiden’s hands would twitch at her waist, as though his body wanted to pull her closer while his mind screamed for distance.

And she knew it.

She could feel it in the way his lips moved against hers with desperate hunger one moment, only to slow with hesitation the next.

He was fighting himself, torn between anger and longing, heartbreak and love, and Lena wasn’t sure if she was happy or terrified by that.

Part of her mind whispered that this was perfect. If Aiden still loved her enough to kiss

  • Revenge For My Alpha: Sequel of Fated To The Alpha Twins    A Soft Cake and Hard Truths

The cafeteria buzzed with the usual mid-afternoon energy of Moonshine College. Trays clattered, the hum of conversation swelled and fell like a tide, and the faint smell of grilled meat mixed with the sweetness of pastries from the dessert counter. At a corner table, tucked beneath the tall windows where light streaked the floor, Lily, Maya, Liam, Graham, and Lucas sat together. Their food sat mostly untouched because the real meal was the conversation between them. “I still can’t believe it,” Maya said, stabbing her fork into her salad with a little too much force. “Of all the people to run into at Aiden’s apartment hallway, it had to be her.” Lily leaned back, her arms crossed, expression tense. “Lena looked us dead in the eye, as if we were the ones intruding. The nerve she had…” She shook her head. Lucas drummed his fingers against the tabletop, his eyes narrowed thoughtfully. “So she came to Aiden after all. I figured she would. Aiden might be strong, but when it comes t

Lily’s wide eyes locked on Lena first, the disbelief etched across her delicate features hardening into fury. Beside her, Maya’s mouth parted slightly before pressing into a thin, grim line. For a long, suffocating second, no one moved. The tension rolled down the corridor like smoke from a fire, invisible but choking. Lena swallowed hard, her heart hammering. The worst thing she could have imagined, Lily and Maya catching her leaving Aiden’s apartment, was now her reality. And their faces told her everything: shock, disappointment, and a burning anger that made her stomach clench. Lily's voice turned sharp, trembling with restrained rage. “What the hell are you doing here, Lena?” she asked. Lena forced herself to straighten her spine, smoothing her expression into something calm, almost innocent. She tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and tried to summon a smile that didn’t feel brittle. “I just… I came to talk to Aiden. That’s all" she replied softly. Maya snapped before

  • Revenge For My Alpha: Sequel of Fated To The Alpha Twins    New Encounters

The golden light of the late afternoon spilled lazily over Moonshine College’s wide campus lawns, painting the marble pathways with shades of amber. Lucas, Liam, and Graham had claimed a spot near a restaurant’s open shade. Lucas leaned back in his chair, his arms folded, sharp eyes scanning the menu more out of habit than hunger. Liam had already claimed two plates of roasted chicken wings with extra sauce, while Graham was stirring his iced tea absentmindedly, clearly distracted. It didn’t take long before their conversation turned toward the rumor that had been dancing around the campus like wildfire. Liam let out a sigh. “So… you guys heard what they’re saying about Clara, right? That she’s been charged with stealing pack secrets and threatening to expose them in some article?” Graham looked up, his jaw tightening. “Of course. Everyone is talking about it. The whispers are louder than the lectures lately.” Lucas’s tone was measured. “That’s what bothers me. Nobody is ev

Lena walked slowly, her heels clicking against the pavement with deliberate rhythm. She liked the sound because it reminded her of control and power in each step. Her phone buzzed in her bag. A sharp, satisfying chime. She pulled it out lazily, almost bored until she saw the headline flash across the screen. PACK FREELANCE REPORTER, CLARA, DETAINED FOR LEAKING SECRETS. Lena’s lips curved slowly and deliberately, into a smile. “Oh, Clara,” she murmured under her breath, the words melting like honey. “You should have known better than to cross me.” The satisfaction that washed over her was pure and intoxicating. Clara had thought herself brave, whispering Lena’s secret to Lily like some savior, peeling away Lena’s carefully woven plans. And now, the same mouth that had exposed her was branded with lies, betrayal and ruin. Clara would wear this shame forever. Lena tucked the phone close to her chest for a moment, savoring the surge of triumph. For once, the universe aligned pe

  • Revenge For My Alpha: Sequel of Fated To The Alpha Twins    Back in Class

The lecture hall buzzed with the usual nervous chatter of the first week back. Lily sat hunched forward in her seat, her scarf wound tightly around her neck as though she could strangle away the memory of what had happened in the parking lot just a few nights ago. Her pen tapped against her open notebook, not writing anything, only beating out the rhythm of her unsettled thoughts. Maya slid into the seat beside her, her backpack thudding against the floor. She caught the distant look in Lily’s eyes and immediately leaned closer. “Still thinking about it?” she whispered, pulling her tablet out of her bag. Lily’s laugh came sharp and bitter. “Thinking about it? I can’t stop thinking about it. Lena actually used a hacker, probably paid one, to make that text look like it came from Lucas. Who does that? Who even thinks like that?” Maya’s lips pressed into a thin line. “Someone we called our friend all this time.” She paused, looking down at the desk as if the wood grain could o
