The rest of the week passed by in a blur and Thea wanted more than ever, for their so-called honeymoon to be over.

Thea opened her eyes to the smell of coffee and toast, one of the hotel assistants had discreetly wheeled in a cart laden with lavish breakfast.

“Good morning Ms Blackwood. I hope you had a wonderful night's rest.” The hotel assistant asked with a warm smile on her face.

Thea nodded, her eyes already scanning the cart; she was starving and for some weird reason, she couldn't eat anything reasonable last night.

“I did. Thank you.”

The young lady gave a slight bow of her head and was out of the room in seconds. Thea dragged herself towards the cart, tossing the duvet to the side. It's been a week and four days since she's been trapped in this hotel, doing nothing productive and it was starting to genuinely irritate her.

Not even Daisy could stop by anymore because Celine was watching her and Seth like a hawk. She had to stay in the suite, scrolling mindless through social media and binge watching movies.

Thea grabbed one toast and sh0ved it into her mouth, her eyes glaring down the hall where Seth had been sleeping on the couch.

He seems to be doing just fine in confinement while she's starting to lose her mind! He had no problem reading reports all day on his tablet and running his business from the sofa but her?

She was so close to screaming out her frustration in his face! She can't just sit here and do nothing!

Thea swallowed the last piece of toasts she had in her hand and got out of bed. One glance at her reflection in the full length mirror, she looked crazy; her brown hair was in a messy bun and her nightwear was see-through. He didn't even have to squint his eyes to see ‘all the goodies’ as Daisy would say.

If she's going to talk to him, she'll have to put herself together at least. Thea heads towards the bathroom, reaching for the door knob only for the door to swing open from the inside. Seth stepped out with a towel around his neck, wearing nothing but a pair of grey joggers.

Shocked, Thea lost her balance, stumbling backwards. Seth's arm, quick as lightning, wrapped around her waist, trying to pull her back up, but it all happened too fast. Both of them stumbled to the plush carpeted floor in a heap.

Seth winced in pain, his eyes shutting in agony for a brief moment as the back of his head connected with the floor. His grip around Thea remained firm, holding her securely in place despite the jolt of pain.

Thea gasped, trying to catch her breath, her eyes wide with horror, staring up at Seth. Her palms were laid flat on his chest, instinctively bracing herself, trying to get a better look at him.

“Are you okay?” She asked, her voice barely audible.

Seth groaned. “Do I look okay?” He asked, his eyes finally meeting hers, brows slightly furrowed.

“I..I thought you were in the sitting area. How bad is it?” She asked, eyes etched with concern.

Seth arched a questioning eyebrow, he just told her it was bad.

“You did this on purpose, didn't you?” Seth accused, his gaze droping pointedly at their rather compromising position.

Thea was sprawled on top of him, her nightwear clinging to her curves, her body pressed against his.

Thea followed his eyes and her cheek went red. “Uhm…I'm sorry I…”

She tried to shift, to get off him but he only pulled her closer to him, her face barely an inch away from his.

“You didn't know I was in there?” He asked, the smell of his aftershave suddenly overpowered her senses.

“I…” Thea could barely get the right words out, not when she's this close to his lips, his warmth radiating through her flimsy ezcuse for a nightwear.

And then, she felt it. His erection, hard and solid pressed against her core.

Her body betrayed her, responding with shameful hot juices spilling down between her legs.

His fingers traced a line down her chin casually. Before she could think much of it, she found herself leaning into his touch and its warmth.

“You don't have to go the extra mile, our contract already states that we would anyway.” He said in a whisper.

Thea froze. “What?”

Was that a smirk on his lips? That's the closest thing to a smile! Hell, not even Celine made him this close to a smile.

“You didn't read through our agreement did you? How do you intend to have my child if we don't have sex?”

Thea almost choked on her own saliva; how could she have forgotten all about that so quickly?! She had to have his child within the year.

Her skin tingled and her face couldn't hide just how embarrassed she was anymore.

“I didn't forget.” She mumbled.

“Good. Why don’t we get started then?”

Before Thea could blink, Seth already lifted her effortlessly off the ground and placed her on the bed, his strong arms on either side of her head, caging her. His eyes staring down at her intensely as her breath came out ragged. Her heart was pounding against her chest, is he really going to…

His lips went down on hers, hungry and deep, claiming her mouth. He wanted her, every inch of her and he's been keeping it under wraps ever since their first night here.

His hand cupped her face, holding her in place, deepening the kiss while the other hand found her warmth between her legs.

“You're wet already..” he muttered against her lips.

Thea moaned as his fingers slipped deep into her, exploring her with precision. Her back arched in response, a gasp escaping her lips. His eyes watched her every move intensely in pure fascination.

She was a beautiful mess. One he wouldn't forget in a hurry..

His lips buried deep in her neck, trailling kisses down her collarbone, nibbling on her sensitive skin. She clung to him, her fingers digging into his broad shoulders, her moans stifled between each suck and playful nibble of her shoulders and ears.

“Seth..please, I can't …” Thea stammered, trying to pull him off as her entire body felt overwhelmed with pleasure. He grabbed both her arms and pulled them over her head, pinning them. His tongue continued its journey around her body and her neck once more, driving her to the brink.

“Fick…” Thea muttered, her eyes rolling to the back in its socket, her body overcome by pleasure. She felt lightheaded, on the verge of passing out, it felt way too good..

A loud knock came on the hotel door, abruptly forcing the duo back to harsh reality.

Seth froze, his body tensing. He got out of bed in an instant heading towards the front door. Whoever their guest was had better have a valid reason why he or she chose this exact moment to pay them an unwelcome visit!

Seth pulled the door open. It was Arian with a bouquet of roses in hand. Seth's eyes flickered on the bed of roses and back at Arian's rather charming smile.

“No.” He said simply, pushing the door to a close as he walked away.

Arian chuckled, his hand stopping the door from swinging shut.

“Who told you these were for you?” Arian asked, shutting the door behind him. “Don't make me laugh.”

“You chose the wrong time.” Seth said simply, his eyes glaring daggers at him.

Arian's smile wavered as he studies Seth in silence; his ragged breathing, his dialated pupils and the unmissable hard on. His eyes open wide in realisation. “Fuck.”

“I had ninety nine reasons to kill you but you just made it a hundred.” Seth said in a damgerpusly low tone, his fists clenched in seriousness.

“I'll leave.” Arian stammered, making a mad dash for the door.

Seth moved faster. Hegrabs Arian by the collar, pulling him back. “Screw that. Knocking on that door was your first mistake!” Seth gritted, his grip seems to tighten woth each statement.

Arian’s eyes met Thea who was standing in the hallway, jow wearing a pair of joggers and a hoodie. Her eyes, wide open, glanced from Seth's murderous grip to Arian's wide-eyed panic .

“Ms Thea.” Arian managed, his voice strained, still attempting a charming smile despite the murderous grip Seth had on his shirt.

Thea stared at Seth, not sure if she's to make a run for the door or… Seth releases Arian almost immediately he makes eye contact with Thea, his gaze fixed on his friend's face with a promising glare.

“Thea, meet my friend, Arian. He was at the wedding.”

Arian, rubbing his neck, smiled as he walked towards Thea, handing her the bouquet of flowers he had. “It's so nice to finally meet you, Ms Thea.”

Thea took the flowers from his hands rather slowly, her eyes still studying him in concern. Arian laughs.

“I'm okay. Seth and I play like that all the time.”

Thea said nothing, her eyes moving to Seth as though waiting for him to confirm this or something.

“But I'm afraid he might have plans to get rid of me later on.” Arian said, sending a nervous glance over his shoulder at Seth.

“Do you mind speaking a little bit louder so I can hear you?” Seth threatened.

Adrian grinned at Thea“I said, you look so much more beautiful in person, Ms Thea.”

Thea laughs. “Thank you for the roses, I really appreciate them.”

Arian flashes her a charming smile. “You're always welcome. That asshoke, he doesn't buy you flowers does he? Just tell me when you need fresh ones, I'll have them delivered in minutes!” Arian assured, sending her a playful wink.

Thea smiled. “Thank you.”

Seth's gaze burned from Thea to Arian, his eyes seem to narrow even thinner with each conversation they had.

He grabbed his top from the coach and put them on almost in a hurry before marching down to the duo and pulling Arian by the ear, leading him out of the room, eyes fixed on Thea.

“Ouch! Ouh! Seth! Seth!” Arian cried as Seth pulled him out of the suite. “I'm not even done flirting yet! Seth! Seth!” His protests faded as the door swung shut.

Thea chuckled. She buried her nose in the roses, delightful to say the least.

Her phone beeps, a message from Daisy. It was an article link, announcing Posy’s official engagement to Rune Sterling, complete with photos from a recent social event.

‘She chose your birthday of all days?!’ Daisy's message read.

Thea’s breath hitched. It's on her birthday.

His heart pounded in his chest as she adjusted his tie, eyes staring down at her with more fear than she'd ever since in his eyes. She met his gaze, a smile on her lips. “What?” “I didn't know you were this..brave.” Thea chuckled. “There’s more to me than you know. And you're going to spend forever finding out.” “Is that a deal?” He smiled and she nodded, eyes glowing. The morning light fell softly across the kitchen, painting the marble counter in shades of gold. Thea was standing right in front of Seth, eyes fixed on his suit and then his tie before giving a satisfied nod. “You're good to go.” Seth glanced at the standing mirror behind her, crisp shirt, dark tie, hair pulled neatly back. He looked way better than he did weeks back. “I don’t have to go in today,” he said without meeting her gaze. She smiled faintly. “If you don't, we will never get this over with."Seth’s eyes met hers, calm but shadowed. “I just need to make sure everything stays in place. The police have

Reporters scribbled notes, cameras flashed, and the occasional whisper drifted across the rows of chairs. Thea’s chest tightened. The first thing that hit him that morning wasn’t the light, it was the silence. The house felt too still, too quiet. The kind of calm that only came after a storm had exhausted itself. The curtains swayed gently, letting in fractured sunlight that painted lazy shapes across the bedroom floor. For a moment, Seth didn’t move. He just lay there, staring at the ceiling, letting the faint hum of the city seep through the walls. Is this the right thing to do? Coming back here? Would Celine forgive him for not giving her a proper goodbye? If he's going against Donlad, will the people he cares about be safe? The bed dipped beside him. A reminder that he wasn’t alone.Thea was curled up next to him, the sheets tangled around her waist, her hair a soft, chaotic halo on his chest. She was breathing evenly, one hand resting over his heart as if it belonged there. It's been three weeks. Donald was nowhere to be found, Celine had undergone autopsy and the police were doing their jobs. The rain began the moment the last words of the funeral service faded into the hollow silence of the cemetery. It was soft at first, hesitant drops tapping against the sea of black umbrellas. But soon, the sky broke open, heavy and merciless, as though the heavens themselves mourned for Celine Blackwood.Thea stood still under the gray downpour, her hand gripping the handle of her umbrella so tightly her knuckles whitened. Her heart sank with a sudden reality as Celine was lowered into her grave, she was really gone. She was battling a terminal illness but she was supposed to have more time. More time with her, more time to do everything she wanted to do. She could have met her grandchild….The scent of wet earth and roses hung in the air. Around her, people began to drift away. The marble foyer of the Blackwood Empire gleamed like an oil painting. The hush was almost cathedral-like, broken only by the soft click of heels and the low murmur of phones.
