Chapter 3

Author: Jam Brulee
Bianca's POV

Expensive gifts were piled high in the entryway. Yvette and I locked eyes, and she smirked at me. "Five years ago, he didn't sever the tendons in my hand. So, I'm here to repay him for sparing me back then."

Julius shielded me behind him, and his expression hardened. "Who allowed you to come here?"

Yvette smiled as she slowly twisted the diamond ring on her finger, holding my gaze.

"Naturally, I'm here to clear things up. There's nothing going on between Julius and me, and the children aren't mine either. Don't listen to that idiotic brother of mine. He'll spew all kinds of nonsense to get his hands on our family inheritance."

Right after saying that, she tossed a DNA test report in front of me. However, the results didn't matter in the slightest.

The Robles and Silva families held immense power in Marisport. Changing the results of a report was child's play for them.

When she moved, her collar shifted, exposing a cluster of hickeys on her skin. The image of her and Julius tangled together the night before flashed before my eyes, and I couldn't help but retch violently.

Yvette mocked me. "Julius, didn't your wife have her uterus removed? Did a miracle happen, and she's pregnant again?"

Julius caught me and gently patted my back. "Get the hell out of my house, Yvette!"

Her smile widened, just like it had five years ago when she'd intercepted me on my way to my prenatal checkup. I gasped for air as the nightmare-like scene replayed before my eyes once again.

A searing pain tore through my lower abdomen, and the memory of losing my baby returned to haunt me. It hurt so badly that I could barely breathe.

Julius held my teetering body and frowned. "Head upstairs and get some rest."

Yvette let out a chuckle. "My bad, I forgot that you'd been driven insane by what happened five years ago.

"I came here in good faith to apologize, but I was humiliated by your wife. Don't you think you should hand over the business at South Port to me as compensation?"

Julius nodded without the slightest hesitation. My pain and suffering were nothing more than part of their game.

I swallowed the lump in my throat and choked out, "Throw all of her trash out!"

Julius, however, stopped the housekeepers. "That's enough, Bee. Go back to your room and get some rest first."

Noticing he was still pretending to care about me, I hurled the divorce agreement in his face. "Sign it, Julius!"

Rage flared across his face as he warned me in a dangerously low voice. "Your mother is still in the ICU, Bee. Are you seriously going to do this right now?"

All that remained in my heart was endless contempt. "Sign it, Julius. Don't use Mom against me. Even if it cost me my life, I'd still divorce you!"

Realizing I was serious this time, his gaze darkened. He tore the divorce agreement I'd already signed into shreds. "Bianca Montes, who gave you permission to leave me?"

Yvette scoffed, breaking the deadlock between us. "Bianca, what right do you have to find him disgusting? He hasn't even complained about how filthy you are!"

As soon as her words fell, a razor-sharp blade flew past her cheek, leaving a streak of blood behind.

Julius' expression was dark and menacing as he snarled, "Shut up, Yvette! Say one more word you shouldn't, and I swear I'll take your life."

I didn't want to watch them pretend to be at each other's throats anymore, so I slammed the door shut and returned to my bedroom.

My phone vibrated. I had received a message from Yvette, titled "Gift". The moment I opened it, the blood in my veins ran cold.

As it turned out, the cops had obtained the complete surveillance footage from the scene back then. The evidence was rock-solid. Yvette had no way to wash her hands of it.

Yet, Julius had signed a letter of forgiveness on my behalf as my family, magnanimously forgiving Yvette for what she'd done.

All my suffering, the child I'd lost, and the five years I'd spent in unbearable agony had all been thanks to them.

Bianca's POVFollowing that party, I embarked on my journey to travel the world. The next time I heard news about Julius was a year later. He had liquidated all his shares and assets to establish a massive charitable foundation. During an interview, he confessed that his greatest regret in life was hurting his late wife. Because he could never make it up to her, all he could do was establish a foundation, hoping to atone for his sins. As if that weren't bad enough, he named the foundation after me. Oh well, I might as well view it as him using his money to do some good in my name. God would probably let me live a little longer.I heard he had been diagnosed with severe depression. He couldn't sleep through the night and relied on heavy doses of medication just to get by. He had slit his wrists in the bathtub several times. Later on, he overdosed at my grave. He had been resuscitated several times, only to attempt suicide again. Ultimately, he slipped out while his bodyguard

Bianca's POVThree years later, my jewelry design studio had won several international awards and risen to prominence. I had a new name, a new identity, and even a brand-new life. "Ms. Paxton, the invitation to tonight's masquerade ball hosted by the Nordic Chamber of Commerce has been sent to your email." My assistant, Sam Grayson, handed me a document. "I heard that representatives from several of Marisport's top companies are attending this time." I was caught off guard. "Check the guest list. I'll pass if anyone from Robles Group or Silva Group is attending."Sam nodded and got back to me after a short while. "I've checked the list. Neither party will be there. "Robles Group is at the top of their game right now, with all its business concentrated underground, while Silva Group has been hit so hard that it's now limited to real estate and shipping." I nodded without looking at the information he had put together. …The banquet hall was filled with the clinking of

Bianca's POVMeanwhile, I woke up on a plane cruising at 33,000 feet. "Congratulations on your new life, Ms. Montes!"I savored the sweet air of freedom and tossed the wedding ring on my finger into the trash without a second thought. On the day I returned from Kestrel to Marisport, Aster and I made a deal. If I signed the agreement to transfer custody of the children, the Silvas would help me fake my death and leave Julius under a brand-new identity. The plane touched down without a jolt. Aster's man was already waiting for me at the arrival gate. He handed me a brand-new passport and a set of keys. "Ms. Montes, as of today, your name's Esme Paxton. Here's your new identity and the keys to your apartment. Mr. Silva has arranged everything for you." I spent almost half a year adjusting to my new life. The Silva family had given me enough money to live comfortably for the next few years without having to work. Every now and then, I would see news related to them. All

Third-Person POVThe doors to the operating room swung open. The hospital director met Julius' hopeful gaze and shook his head in despair. "Mr. Robles... the blade pierced straight through her ventricle. She lost too much blood, and her organs began to fail... We did everything we could." "That's impossible! There has to be something you can do, right? I invest millions into this hospital every year, and you're telling me it's all for nothing? "Save her! Bring her back to life, or I'll send every one of you down to keep her company!" Julius grabbed the hospital director by the collar like a madman. "She's just mad at me! She only did this to force me to sign the divorce agreement. There's no way she would actually die." The heart monitor flatlined with a sharp, continuous screech. The attending physician sighed and pulled the white sheet over Bianca's body. "Time of death, 4:15 am."Julius barged into the operating room, falling to his knees beside the operating table. He

Third-Person POVJulius' pupils contracted when he saw the scene before him. Like a madman, he lunged forward and pulled Bianca, who was lying in a pool of blood, tightly into his arms. "Bee! Don't scare me, Bee. Open your eyes and look at me! How could you have the heart to leave our child and me behind?" He hurriedly yanked off his clothes and pressed them hard against her wound, which was gushing blood. Without sparing a glance at Yvette, who was petrified beside them, he scooped up Bianca's limp body and bolted downstairs. "Quick, get the car ready! We're going to the hospital!"The car sped down the road, but the woman in his arms was growing fainter by the second. Julius' eyes were bloodshot as he called Bianca's name over and over again. "This is all my fault. So long as you open your eyes, I'll agree to the divorce. I'll give you whatever you want."In fact, I'll leave the underworld for good and start over with you. I'm sorry for everything I've done to you. You c

  • Revenge, Redemption, and the Ultimate Betrayal   Chapter 4

Bianca's POVBy the time my tears had run dry, Julius pushed open the bedroom door. I lifted my gaze and calmly looked at his enraged face. "Are you sure you can't find any surveillance footage from that day, Julius?"He froze for a split second before he adopted a soothing tone. "That's all in the past now, Bee. Forget it. It'll only worsen your condition." I laughed out loud, yet tears streamed uncontrollably down my face. "Julius Robles, I hate you. I hate both of you so much that I want to see you ripped apart limb from limb. "All those days you claimed you were away on business, you were actually sleeping with Yvette, weren't you? "If the two of you have been childhood sweethearts for 20 years, why the hell did you drag me into this and put me through all this suffering?" Panic flashed in his eyes, but before he could say a word, Yvette beat him to it. "Since she's already aware of everything, let's stop hiding it from her." Julius' expression changed drastically, and
