Chapter 9 - Ball gowns and terrible intentions.

I was furious, but I couldn’t tell my father. All that work was basically wasted. He also made a huge decision on his own that was meant to be my decision to make. I wouldn’t have agreed to a truce and he knew it. I knew that was why he did what he did. Over the next couple of days, I was torn between what my father wanted and the revenge plan I had been working on for two years. As I walked through town, it also quickly became clear that the pack was confused. Some were relieved about it, just like my father was.

“The king declared war because of the princess. Now that she is back, there is no reason for us to fight anymore.” I overheard a guard who didn’t realize I was just around the corner.

“But they took her! They have to pay for that!” His companion growled and I smiled.
