Chapter 2

Amelia walked towards the visiting area with the prison guard in front of her .

This was the first time in five years that she was coming to this area of the prison , because since she got sentenced no one had bothered to visit her .

She wasn’t surprised about it , who was going to visit her when she had no friends and no family apart from the scumbags that betrayed her .

It was too early in the morning to have visitors , but getting to the visiting area , she could see that a whole lot of inmates had people who had come to visit them .

She didn’t dare to look at the people as she passed by , because within there she could still hear the whispers .

Everyone knew her to be the first wife of the CEO and so when she was convicted of killing her own kids , the news spread like wildfire and not only in the US here , it spread all over the world .

She knew that she would be making headlines now , but she could care less .

Walking behind the guards and ignoring the side comment was something that she could do .

Amelia could see the guard heading to a deserted area in the busting place and looking ahead of her .

She was a man sitting there .

He wore a black suit , dark skin and wore black glasses to match with a pair of white shoes .

A sudden grip of fear held her .

Who was this man ?.

From the way he looked , it seemed like her ex husband had sent him .

She wanted to turn and go away since she didn’t want that issue brought up to her face , it brought back hurtful memories .

“ That’s him , you have 30 minutes to Speak with him .

Amelia nodded to the guard and went over to the man and sat just right beside him but the prison guards suddenly turned around and took the handcuffs from her hand .

She was shocked. What was going on?

She held her hands as she turned and looked at the man who at this moment took off his dark share and his sexy brown eyes were revealed to her .

His eyes really did match with his skin , he had the most beautiful and the most plump lips , she wouldn’t deny the fact to say that he was handsome .

She didn’t know if it was because she hadn’t seen the outside world for a long time and that was the real reason why this man looked very handsome to her .

But that wasn’t the case , What was he doing here and why did they send him .

“ I know you must be confused and wondering why I had come here to visit your, but I would just go straight to the point , your parents asked me to come get you “

Amelia's head suddenly went black .

She couldn’t understand the trash that this man was spitting out , what parents were he talking about exactly , for the records , she was an orphan and had growbed up in an orphanage home and had no family to call her own , then who were the sudden parents that had gone to get her .

“ I know you are confused , but let me introduce myself to you. I am Adam and your parents had hired me 20 years ago to investigate the course of your disappearance .

I had been on this case for a very long time but it was last year that I got a lead .

I didn’t want to believe that it was true when I found out but after so much investigation . I knew that it was you .

I know this would be so hard to process but right now the only thing that we need is your hair to conduct a dna test and if it comes out true , then your family would fight to make sure that You get out of this place and come take what’s rightfully yours .

Amelia felt lost , but on a second thought , she knew that if it was true then this might be her breakthrough .

Without hesitation , she plucked her hair and dropped it in front of the man and without saying a word to him , she walked back with the prison guards leading her back to the prison cell.

It’s been a month since Amelia had that meeting with a man who claimed to know her as someone's daughter .

Even though she still wallowed in her pains , she prayed within herself that the man could return with good news .

Her hopes were high over the past two weeks , but when he didn’t return , she decided to let it go , she knew it could be Williams who had sent him to make her hope and then leading her to torment and distraction .

One word was enough for her to know that nothing was saving her from this prison cell .

She closed her eyes meditating on what she could do then if she gets the opportunity, but this was just an imagination , if only it would be real .

“ Amelia santangio “she heard someone call .

The moment she heard her name she jumped out of the bed and rushed towards the door .

Getting to the door the first person her eyes fell on was the prison guard , who opened the door for her .

The prison guards removed her handcuffs the moment she was out and when she turned her eyes fell into him and that was when she heard the words `` you are a free woman Amelia and you are free to go .

Amelia stood there for a whine finding it so hard and difficult to understand what was going on , what did it mean by she was free .

Was this real or a dream?

She pinched herself again to be sure of her existence and when she felt herself , she knew it was real .

So Amelia, your case had been dissolved and all the charges against you had been canceled since there is no proof to show that you did it , so you are Free now “ Adam whispered to her and the tears flowed out .

The tears of joy .

Finally “ she thought to herself aloud with a wicked smile on her face .
