Eric was sitting on the floor when Katrina came in. He was on the second beer.

Katrina saw the first can of beer empty and squeezed. He threw it to the wall.

She walked towards him and bent down beside him.

"Eric" she called softly.

"Leave me," he said.

"I can't, not even if I wanted to." Katrina said.

"Don't act like you care," Eric blurted out.

"I do care... I understand you don't want to get married to Molly, but I don't know the reason why... You guys are okay together. " Katrina said.

"I don't want to get married to Molly because of you," Eric replied calmly.

"How? "Kat asked.

"I'm in love with you Kat, " he said, shocking her.

"What? " Katrina asked, surprised.

"That's the truth. But my dad insists on me marrying Molly. Like, why can't I make a decision myself " he said and took up his beer to drink again.

"Don't drink," Katrina said, collecting the can of beer from him.

"Kattt, " Eric muttered.

Katrina leaned into him stroking his hair.
