Chapter 34 - The doctor

Theo POV

As we reach the hospital and we get out of the car, Abigail holds my hand. I can tell she is very nervous because her hands are sweaty and shaking. I put one knee on the floor, standing in front of her and looking her in the eyes.

“Are you okay, princess?”, I ask, and she nods her head. Her eyes locked on mine, and she smiled. I can tell she is nervous, but she doesn’t want to admit it to me. I pick her up, and she wraps her small arms around my neck, resting her head against my shoulder while I walk into the white reception area. Everything is clean and sterile, looking like there’s no life in there. I take a deep breath approaching the reception lady.

“Hi, my name is Theodore, and this is my daughter Abigail. We are here to visit her mother, Agnes Smith?”, I say, and the girl types away on her computer and then she smil
